I remember making these when I was a kid. Except no paperclip. We would put two holes in the cup about half an inch apart and loop the string though both holes so it was tied to the part of the cup between the two holes. Then we would tie a piece of foam to the other end of the string, at the oposite end of the cup, instead of using a paper towel. We'd use a yellow cup and decorate it like a chicken, glueing pieces of felt shaped like a beak and a comb to it. Adding googly eyes.
