wow! it seems so intense and crazy but somehow seems so freaking good! I'm scared just to watch it but feel immediately drawn to it! I hope I give it a shot someday
HA! The responses are hilarious. Some people definitely need to stay at the social health club, show off their spandex and drink the crap they sell for four bucks a glass.
Crossfit exercises are great. Only the set-up has no real plan behind it. It's just busting your ass off several times per week, waiting for progression.
I train crossfit about 3-4 times a week and have been the last 2 years, it is the greatest training ever! I'ver never been faster nor stronger than i am now, it's a perfect combination of everything.
You are gaining useable fast muscles instead of big builder arms.
This so-called workout is just cheating. And it is for effeminate pussies, gays, wankers, swishies and loser. So awful, so distressing, so ridiculous, so wretched!
I love crossfit it's the best workout ever. I use to go to the gym all the time. But the gym doesn't have people to encourage thus far it's so boring . Crossfit you go in you have like a personal trainer type and everybody pushes you. Most crossfit WODs are 20 mins long and you accomplish so much in that 20 mins than you'll ever accomplish in 1-2 hours at the gym and when you do these workout right you feel so good about yourself. You'll work out muscles you never thought you even had but feeli
i'm sure you can get in fantastic shape following a Crossfit program.. but it should be noted that this is advanced training. if you try some of these moves you are bound to sustain an injury if you don't know what you are doing.
@aslansalive It's advanced training that anyone can do. It's high intensity training, but specified to your level of fitness. If you can't do perscribed, then you shouldn't do it. You should modify your exercise (say weight on a barbell), but still do the same workout at your level of high intensity. That's what I've come to learn from working out at CrossFit.
@emceeAMile ok, that doesn't clear much up.- for example, say i have a bum knee. i lighten the weight on a barbell to the point where i can perform said exercise without pain. but it is then so light that it barely provides a challenge i.e. not intense what so ever. Ex. 2: i have tightness in my back, and the exercise is jerking one of those kettlebells over my head (which is one exercise with such awful form in Xfit) what do i do then? how do i perform that without injury and still intense?
@aslansalive You're not going to have the same performance with any injury. As you pointed out, it might not be as challenging, because you won't have as much to work with. But if you have a bum knee and/or back, it will be more challenging, due to the pain. Sometimes strengthening helps deal with injury, but I wouldn't know, because I've never been injured like that and tried to work out.
@emceeAMile i'm just saying, by contrast, you can have tightness in your back, you can have a bum knee, shoulder, etc. and still perform *focused* and controlled movements with intensity on traditional weight equipment. -crossfit delivers great results to healthy individuals, and even to those with certain conditions. but would i even consider doing *half* the idiotic exercises in a crossfit program? no way.
Anyone whose been to a gym like LA Fitness, Gold's, or Bally's... then goes into a Crossfit program can tell you they are two totally different species. Crossfit is no nonsense. You'll be pushing yourself from start to finish. And in a way you'll have the support of others exercising along with you. It'll keep you motivated from start to finish and you'll see results.

@s4m112211. "This is unhealthy. People doing this are not aware of what they are getting into. The human body is not made for this difficulty and frequency of exercises."
Clearly you are not aware of what the human body is capable of! Being in the military I only started crossfit 3 months ago and am in the best shape of my life. I never thought I would be able to achieve what I can now thanks purely to these training methodologies. Research it if you disagree...
@ORLOSKY15 yeah i know what you mean...but if she's feeling good about it...what the hell right?....try and look at it this way:, a masculine woman is as repulsive to us as a hairy man with an incredible beer-gut is to them...lol! hahaha! so it's only a matter of opinion and/or preference i guess...Whatever makes them happy..am i right?....i'm not trying to be superficial or anything...it's just about preferences....so, again no offence to anybody.
This is unhealthy. People doing this are not aware of what they are getting into. The human body is not made for this difficulty and frequency of exercises. Too few is the same thing as too much. Universal balance. We're not machines. Meditation and light daily exercises are the right way, a way of saying just keep your buddy running efficiently, eat right, and so on.
@ORLOSKY15 Yeah i was exaggerating ....i have some muscle too, not too much though, because i think that men with extreme big muscles look ridiculous too. I think it should be proportional, i just don't like it when woman have tight abs...too masculine, but again....that's only my opinion, so no offence to anyone.
@ORLOSKY15 yea i agree with you, i just wanted to send respond to @fockya, you can't train you blood system or muscles witch helps protect and hold internal organs, just eat healthy is not enough, humans are made for movement and activities :)
these people act like they going to war or some shit. just eat healthy all u need to led a healthy life. all these causes is stress and strain on the body which can led to problems down the road
@AmaiGuy i was joking im glad to see you people finaly get of your asses. see if you would of only plowed your own feilds you would be the stars of the nfl nba today
keeping fit is good and all....but women with a sixpack?.......yuck!, i mean that's just nasty if you'd ask me, it makes em' look like transexuals...flat chest, no ass and the rockhard abs....dat's some gay-ass shit! (just my opinion, no offence)
Yep, I use to do that stuff in my 20s and 30s. Now I have three bulging disks and arthtritis in both shoulders and knees. I do a Par Course, which is more calisthenics and stretching. I still work out with the weights. But no jerk and cleans, squates, dead lifts or roman chairs (I got a hernia from that one and was in the hospital for 2 days while that fixed me up). Of course I am 55 and in good shape running 25+ miles per week as well.
crossfit looks like a good intensive work out but it also looks like it would be a little hard on the joints. if your looking for a intense workout with out all the damage...... p90x maybe the better way to go
OOOOKKKK..... I still don't know what it is. Thanks for the huge explaination in this video... NOT! So great we could watch people exercising without any additional information... how convenient. :-P
@azgirl777 It's a hardcore workout program, obviously. Heavy weights, reps, and sets. You don't see people doing that kind of stuff at the local recreation center.

Who ever made crossfit is a marketing genius. It's basically bodybuilding/powerlifting with "fun" cardio.
tgo007 1 year ago 2
@tgo007 you're joking, right?
there's not a single bit of traditional bodybuilding in that entire workout. No one's doing bicep curls, or on a leg extension machine.
