MLS had a higher average attendance in 2011 than the NBA and NHL. It is the 10th highest attended league in the world. My city of Seattle draws nearly 40,000 fans week after week to watch the Sounders. 90% of these fans are American and even Seattle born.

The fact ratings were up 30 million plus for the worldcup and the fact MLS is almost selling out stadiums. I would say soccer is growing very fast. In a 3 hour broadcast there are 11 minutes of actual playtime? What sort of a sport is this?! There is probably more playtime in a round of bowling. In fact, on average 59% of an NFL broadcast is footage of the players standing around and 15% of the footage is just replays. So go watch your BORING sport while we watch THE BEAUTIFUL GAME.
