My definition of " Hmong" does not need to be "elaborated". What she is and what we are are not the same. We might have came from the same tribal ancestor, but we split, thus creating a differences between us. And it doesn't really matter if your last name is the same as her. Does Hmong lee people say they are related to Chinese people who last name is Lee. No. And yes, she doesn't speak Hmong. Oh and having the same dialect doesn't really consider you the same.

@agumnasticFAN, you nephews is hmong. Min Haam doesnt speak hmong. Her languages might constain some words that sound familiar to hmong words, but she isn't hmong. It would be like saying Spanish are Itialian. Whatever tribe that Mim Haam came from, and hmong, are as different as Spanish is to Itialian. Ok. And just beacuse she have a name that sound like hmong, doesnt mean she is hmong. I have a name that sound like Japanese and chineses, but i am am hmong.
