@lrwsoreal Mr. Brown had five sons — Teddy, Terry and Larry (twins), Daryl and James Joseph Brown III, in addition to five daughters — Lisa, Yamma, Deanna, Venisha and LaRhonda. Brown also had eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Brown's eldest son, Teddy, (who I grew up with) died in a car crash on 14 June 1973 . . . around the time the Big Payback Album was released.

It's funny when any performer does that. I saw a concert by Rod Stewart once...he was in the middle of a song, and he just flat out admitted to the audience that he'd forgotten the words,and went they into another song...

They love to tear the man down who made them famous enough to make a living. Without James Brown, Fred Wesley and the rest of them would be nothing more than 2nd hand hacks that no one ever heard of. James Brown was not a trained organist but he played very well, he had his own style and he was original.
