  • Guys will be guys I guess.

  • Im from South Africa, Toyota only brought in 200 of the 1.8 model to us and Im a lucky owner. It doesn't seem like the exhaust and filter make a difference, just more noise. Would like to do the charger, exhaust and filter with an aftermarket ecu. Toyota ecu's cant handle any parameter changes.

  • seems just as fast as my 1.5 sedan...hmmm

  • I had a 06 rs with borla exhaust and cold air kit and some other TRD options and I topped out at 202km's , not that fast but a whole lot quicker than you'ed think . I raced a 95 Chevy silverado[ 350 4 spd auto 4x4 ] standing start 0 to 140 and took him by 3 car length's at least . Dam I still miss my Yaris RS !

  • Xwse kiallo :P

  • the yaris looked as if it could exceed 180 at that continous acceleration.

  • 1.8 (:0 I know 1.5

  • what is this for an aitfilter system? sounds good! i like the 1.8 liter engine....but the car needs a 6-speed transmission and a diff!!

and it would be better to have the oportunity to turn the VSC off!! ;)

  • somebody told me how to turn VSC off but I wouldnt If you like your life. There is a fuse that can be removed but unfortunately it is also the fuse for the ABS. I haven't tried it Im not that mad!

  • dude not having abs isnt dramatic, i know you've posted this almost a year ago, but for all the other readers, i dont have abs on my 96 integra rsxand i feel it can brake better than my mom's 02 rsx, you just have to control your power to the pedal, stick you foot on the ground, it helps than just keeping it in the air

  • I respect the Toyota Yaris/Vitz/Echo for it being a quick subcompact car.

  • People who bought toyota yaris buy it because it's an ECONOMICAL car, not for the performance dude!

  • @Gab0631 Since when is a 1.8 4 cilinder economical...!?

  • @MegaG15 Here in Quebec, Toyota Yaris are considered as sub-compacts, a very economical car.

  • @Gab0631 W00t? Here in Holland its already quite a non-economical car... I have a 1.0 3 cilinder :P And I dont even have an ''eco motiv'' engine thing... So even I still pay taxes... assholes -_-

  • @MegaG15 LOL!! I've got a 1.5 liters and in Quebec, its like the most economical we've got! :P

  • @Gab0631 Hahaha XD yeah but in Canada/America, everything is economical if there are less than 6 cilinders in an engine XD cause they always drive 8 or more, hahaha XD

  • @MegaG15 LOL!! I've got a 1.5 liters and in Quebec, its like the most economical we've got! :P I just can't imagine how slow a 3 cylinders is...

  • @Gab0631 Well the 3 cylinder can still get up to speeds to max around 190... wich is pretty ok... but it takes long before you get there! hahaha XD but here the top speeds are 120 km/u so its fine with me :)
