I use a trick that is pretty famous for 8x8. It is "I ate and ate and got sick on the floor." sick on the floor sounds like 64 which is the answer to 8x8. Hope this helps!!!
i like it! i am trying to learn the times tables and i am in 2nd grade. i just need to know the 7's, 8's,and the 12's and i will know all the times tables.now i just need to need to know the 7's,and the 12's!
Thank you for sharing these tricks. My daughter will be most appreciative when she comes home from school today and I teach them to her. She's really struggling with multiplication, because she hates math. If you know of any websites with more helpful tips, please let me know. I'm trying to convince her that math can be fun! Thanks!
One way if you're having trouble memorizing the 8x table or the 9x table is to use 10x as a base, say if your trying to figure out what 9x7 is, well you can think 10x7 is 70 then subtract one 7 to get 63. Same thing with the 8x table, say if you wanted to figure out 8x8, well you know that 10x8 is 80, then you have to subtract 8 two times which is 16 to get 64.
cute........

Remembering the 5 table is easy to remember,
just remember highest number first:
9x5=45
8x5 =40
7x5=35
6x5=30
5x5=25
only go down by 5
