I remember having Zebra Finches growing up as a kid...we named them Roger and Jessica after the movie Roger Rabbit. Reading the comments about Darwin passing away was like when our last Zebra Finch (Jessica, I think) passed away.

You should get your Darwin a mate! Preferably a female, since two adult males will fight... a lot. But finches are very social birds. In the wild, zebra finches live in pretty large groups.

New update! The female died yesterday! And we only had her for a couple of days. *sobs for like 30 min.* It was so sad. *sob*. She made my Darwin so happy. *sobs for another 30 min.*

Sorry to hear about your previous female. That's great you got another though and that they're getting along well. Do you have any pictures of them?

no i don't have any pictures. And we took the female to the vet, and she has a fungus on her so we have to give her medications and keep both birds seperated. When we seperated them, Darwin kept on chirping because he didn't want the female to go. It is so sad. But it is for both birds own good.

Just got a new male. Today is his first day and he hasn't started singing yet. But Emma and him seem to be warming up to each other pretty well. When he starts singing I'll try to film it and post it on here.

The new female died a few months ago. I haven't been on in forever so I wasn't able to tell you that sooner. I'm probably not gonna get another female. It would be too sad. A theory to why the female kept dying is because maybe Darwin was so excited, he injured them both. He is was alone for I don't know how long when someone gave him to us. I guess he just didn't know how to behave when another bird comes in.

@Zeldagamer12345 Darwin died a week ago. My family is pretty sure it is an illness. We aren't sure what illness though. I am thinking about getting a parakeet.
