Nice to see some video of Katzman, whose album Panic When the Sun Goes Down/How to Play Delta Blues Guitar was a big influence on me when I was learning. (I spent weeks transcribing "Homage to Rev Gary Davis", using a half-speed reel-to-reel.)

Hi cimmalo- That's a chinese-made ribbon mic that I bought in Germany from Thomann. It's their "T-bone RB-500" . I had Andreas Grosser (ex-Neumann)modify it. It's got a nice sound and looks good, but was the wrong choice for a mic. I'd forgotten that all ribbon mics have a figure 8 characteristic, so I got lots of leakage from the guitars on the voc. track.Oh well...live and learn! - Nick

hi nick! many thanx for the reply! anyway your choice is not bad you know, i also had a ribbon mic by nady only thing you must be carefull with ribbon mics is that they are very sensitive and also if youre getting any leakage try using cardoid (but i dont know it has cardiod) i'm using rode mics for vocals i use rode nt 2000 and by the way i've been to rhomann too cuz i live in italy i often go to germany! many regards!all the best on music!jan perera.milano.italy(rec;engine­er)
