  • How many rounds 1 tank crew usually use during such fire drill?

How many such live fire exercises one crew passes per year, usually?

  • @BitnikGr I've counted that tanks #3 and #4 from the left fired 3 rounds each.

  • HAd 105 sabot missfire. tryed to fire again missfire , third time missfire. so we had to mechanical fire it, nope wouldnt fire. I was the Loader so every body out the tank , im the lowest most expendable item on board so I had to pull that dude out the breach. I was sweating like MOFO! Im like if this fucker goes up in my hand well , my girl friend is going to have easy $100,000 . HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA thats 1991. I cant get No, Satisfaction! Wanted dead or ALIVE!

  • if i pick this mos and get a high enough score on the test will i be part of an abrams crew?

  • @sguberdude There is no guranteed MOS in the Marines you can get a branch like 18XX or 03XX but not a specific MOS im pretty sure that the only people who are guranteed are the reserves.

  • armoured firing squad

  • i just chose this as my marine mos n u need a gt score of 100 i got a 104

  • @hhshansel whats a gt score?

  • @mickster026 General Technical skills, I believe.

  • @hhshansel 90

  • @hhshansel for a gunner? how hard is the test because im going to be a gunner

  • if your a tank crew men what are you chances on being deployed to afgainistan

  • if your worried about getting deployed...dont join.

  • @reliablethreat23 im not you miss understood i want an mos that deploys quickly i want to go to afganistan as bad as that may sound

  • @woLFpaCK03131 MOS doesn't really matter, all Marines go. Infantry would be a good choice though, well bad choice but yeah. If you're infantry just volunteer to go and they can attach you to a deploying company easier.

  • @Catchaspoon but since i want to be a gunner on the abrams, i will be randomly picked? i thought you go for your normal 12 weeks then your 3 weeks of your MOS then you get to pick like a gunner, driver, or loader

  • @sguberdude 3 weeks of MOS school? lol You're dreaming buddy. You go to boot, 3 months. You go to MCT, 1 month, then you go to Fort Knox. 3 months. Then you get sent to your unit and your either a driver, maybe a loader if you're lucky. Then you learn all the shit they don't teach you at tank school, which is pretty much everything. Then after a couple of years when you aren't a total waste of space. You might be able to be a gunner.

  • @sguberdude You will be trained as a loader, driver and gunner. You will get your shot at all three. I spent many hours as a loader and I've driven hundreds of miles. I got to spend some time as a gunner too. Any spot on the tank is cool. I'm not crazy about being the gunner though. Next step after gunner is Tank commander. Don't worry about what position you will serve because you'll get to do them all in time. There's a lot to learn on the tank, a LOT. It's continuous learning. Good luck to ya

  • @woLFpaCK03131 Just as good as anyone else. Except, you won't be on a tank. Most likely you will be Mechanized Infantry.

  • @Catchaspoon whats mechanized infantry ? patroling with an armored vehicle

  • @woLFpaCK03131 You ride around in MRAPs. Checking out villages and shit.

  • Even if i isnt in the army, this is somehow music for my ears..

  • how many M1A1 sent to iraq?

  • you must have been the class before me. I was 4-08, picked up in july of '08. Gunnery in the fleet is so much better. TT 8 is badass

  • what do you mean gunner?

  • omg i want one~!

  • how do i get a waiver? im 6'3

  • fuck dude im 6 foot 4...could i join and become a tank crewman?

  • Haha, I don't know, I'm still waiting to find out myself. haha. I'm pretty sure you can, you just need a waiver.

  • I'm 6'4 and completed tank school, you'll have a few minor annoyances, but its really not hard at all to be a tall tanker

  • All right. Thanks man. One more question, with all the troops being deployed to Afghanistan, will there also be a lot of tanks deploying to A'stan? I know the Canadians have their tanks there. Do we?

  • @CaptainAmerica322 The USMC has 21 M1A1s in Afghanistan right now. But they aren't putting them into action until they get the logistics to support them.

  • Yea you fine.... I know a guy 6'10" and he drove fine... Im 6'2"

  • @YankeeFitz I'm 6'4, you don't need any kind of waiver or anything. You'll be fine.

  • And you don't need a waiver.

  • really? thats great! jw waht MOS score do u need to be a tanker?

  • GT Score of 90. And yes the canadians have tanks, but we do not, so, when it comes time for your tank unit to deploy, they will train you in a different MOS and you will do that MOS for the deployment. You'll most likely just be mounted infantry or motor transport. Thats the way it will be until we get tanks in afghanistan, whenever that is.......

  • @CaptainAmerica322 You don't need one.

  • I was here back in 07 I was 19k C C0 2-81 19k! "SQUAD UP"

  • Is this AIT ( advanced idividual training )for tank crewman? Where is this too? cool vid thoe

  • osut

  • That day of OSUT was bad ass. Too bad basic was the last time I got to touch a tank...going on two years ago.

  • i can hear gallgher
