  • capoeiriaisdflkjfgikvnkjfdgh

  • capoeira is not as easy as many people think, capoeira is taken too lightly. the conditioning and training is hard core, and effective. capoeira is evolving with the times. a lot of take downs and arms are being put into the training. rodas can be fun but can turn quickly when one is testing another ones game. id tell someone to find a good group to train with and see if you can hang with them.

  • @theteenagemma

  • when u put down another style,u basically admit that u dont know shit about martial arts anyway.its not about which style is better, its about how effective u are in ur style.i've seen guys in capoeira show up practitioners of muay thai n tai kwon do,any style is potentially dangerous.

    Galopante,

    Godome,

    Cutelo

    Cutelvada

just for example, and yes we/'re using Galopante for example cuz even if it get its target it won't do any damage.

  • I still dont know where its origin. But I love it! Best martial art ever! juz follow rhtym

  • Combined from martial arts from all over Africa, formalized in Brazil. Training looks like "folk dance" in ignorant slave-owners' eyes... as does a lot of "folk dances" around the world.

  • pode cre rapaziada ó a nossa capoeira ai pros gringo ver hehe

  • Its a martial art. Have you ever cartwheeled and accidentaly hit someone? Thats it. It hurts... and you get very fit, built, and strong, good balance etc.

  • hell yeah havent you watched the protecter?...if not check it out or look for some clips

  • Touching my girlfriend like that,

    peesh! jk

    She's hooooooooooooot

  • OMG!! She even do the jingling wrong! That's the goddamn basic move -.- How the hell can the guy say she did create??

  • Very fun MMA/Dance :)))

  • Capoeira is quite useless in real life situations,

  • Unless you're Eddie Gordo that is :D

  • I actually have been doing Muay Thai for years but am recently trying Capoeira (I have been wanting to for years) and it's a lot more fluid than Muay Thai. It also uses a lot of body weight so saying something like it's useless, well I have fun getting your ass handed to you. I've seen a cocky dude get the crap kicked out of him by a Drunkin style martial artist.(Drunkin Style and Capoeira both use body wieght as a weapon) It wasn't too funny for him after that.

  • i agree if you have any sort of martial arts experience it is better than none, and you will most likely have the advantage against a novice or someone with no MA background, but capoeira in combat against sambo, boxing, muay thai or similar more straightforward martial arts has very little chance in winning.

  • yeah I could agree with that but Capoeira is a baby compared to other martial arts so it's still got a way to go to be perfected into a full use martial art.

  • Measure a martial art by its effectiveness, not its age. Measure the effectiveness of an art by its living practitioners, not it's long-dead masters. Measure the practitioners by whether they lead a life worth living, not by how much ass they kick.

  • very well said

  • been playing the game(what capoeiristas called the roda(r pronouced as an h)) for 10yrs and every move learned can be used in a real fight.

  • true it can be used in a real fight, but it usess excessive energy and this fighting style is more for show and is not refined to offense and defense while conserving energy on unnecessary moves, for fun, one of my cap friend's classes decided to challenge a boxing class to a few rounds at our gym and 7 out of 9 times the boxers won, almost completely dominated them.

  • and one thing.

Capoeira indeed could be bad, cuz fightin with your fists are not allowed until you're a high "belt"

And about the other thing, Capoeira as every martial arts has some deadly techniques as well. And i was rly suprised about that.. But that things are not taught.

And last thing. I was fightin using my capoeira with some mma background with peoplez from jujitsu, kicboxing or karate, and i wouldn say that i was destroyed. I mostly won. the were confused about my irregural stance.

  • Ryokagee: Id like to know where you train Capoeira and get a "belt" and are than "allowed" to use hand techniques LMFAO

  • Exactly! So many martial arts train to fight standing up straight. Capoeira trains to fight from as many different directions and angles as possible.

  • It's the same fighting style as Eddie from the Teken series

  • What dose this have to do with video games....

  • that guy is totally hitting on her

  • lolol i thought the same thing wow i bet he probably goes down on some of his students or something hahaha he is acting like thta kind of guy

  • Sorry, but this form of martial art is useless. You'll never see anyone using it trying to defend themselves. And what happens if there is no music to help you keep your rhythm? Basically, you're screwed.

  • The music just helps, and if they are able to flip like they do, they won't get their ass kicked.

  • Maybe. But I'd like to see someone try it against a jujitsu martial artist. :D

  • does G4 do anything concerning videogames anymore?

  • about 10% lol

  • on xplay... but other wise not really

  • you can only do so much with video games, you've got to realize that

  • commercials?

  • Eddy Gordo Wins!

  • Haha! Clownt! XD

    2:08

  • If someone tried to use this monkey sh*t on me I'd pick them up and slam them and slam their head into the ground, where's your Capoeira now faggot

  • you talk like u can do shit. talk but no action.

  • they should have sent Olivia insted of this chick

  • Olivia can't move like dat son :P

  • Nice kicks, but no punch...my kinda style!!!

  • Everyone saying its useless for fighting haven't seen The Protector...

  • first of all the guy in the protector knows mauy thai not capoera and no its not useless

  • First of all I was not talking about Tony Jaa, he knows Muay Thai, the brazilian guy he fights in the church knows Capoeira.

    Think before you speak.

  • oh so true sorry lol

  • The Protector was good but it used too many wires and tricks...watch Ong Bak, no wires and all real hits. Same actor (Tony Jaa) but in this movie you can really see him kick ass and it's Muay Thai not Capoera

  • It is Capoera you just read it wrong, like the other guy i told off, Tony Jaa does Muay Thai and brazillian guy he fights in the church uses Capoera. Realize the things people talk about before you look like a moron.

    Thank you

  • that was in the end. a movie. if you want to see it in real life situations, go search Capoeira MMA on youtube and watch the cap users get destroyed by other martial artists, after a few seconds of looking cool they get knocked out

  • I question using MMA as "real life", since real fights do not have referees and clean octagon footing and whatnot. Note, please, that I'm not denying what you see on YouTube, only pointing out that real fights take place in less-than-ideal conditions: dim light, clutter on the floor, weapons, crud thrown in fighters' eyes, overpowering one fighter with the other fighters' friends, etc.

  • Yea, alot people thinks mma is real life fighter however its not. It just the closest to real fight. In real fight, you don't have preparation and what you had mentioned. All martial art are different but still good. In real fight elbow and dirty move are used. :D

  • why did you send me this message? I didn't say that it wasn't Muay Thai

  • Just shut up you tard..

  • mhhh. estaba mimoso con la rubia jaja

  • Capoeira was cool back in the early 90's.

  • hehe swooped in capoeira style for the kiss. I love culture stuff like that good one g4

  • omg there break dance fighting

  • LOL THAT SO DESERVES A +1 :D

  • Lol someone picks a fight with a Capoeira user

"Capoeira user: hang on dude let me turn my music on." LOL

  • Lots of arts use music to help the students get their timing down. All fights... ALL FIGHTS, WITHOUT EXCEPTION... have a rhythm, because all fights are with humans who have beating hearts. You can NOT escape rhythm, so an inability to detect it is a weakness, plain and simple.

  • Lol nah i'm not dissing them or anything. I just think it'd be a funny situation.

  • its beautiful, but in a real fight, its uselesss.

  • no you can actually kick some ass with it.

  • agreed that its useless, and for all you who say u can kick ass with it, you should look it up on youtube how cap users get owned by other Martial artists

  • I guess youre missing the myriad of videos where it does quite well. Maybe youre just not a hard looker... Ive seen only 1 actual video of someone losing, and it was that jackoff with the green pants, who obviously had little experience in Capo.

  • and if you rly want to know about "fists" thing.

I've heard that from my trainer, that it is allowed starting from monitor. And i saw it only once.

  • africans slaves in brazil

  • its a dance i think they never really fight i think

    may be very wrong

  • they fight, but its kinda lame. not anything too practical imo

  • It looks like "folk dance" so the slaves could practice it openly, because ignorant Portugese slaveowners couldn't see how effective capoeira was and is. They saw someone with their hands tied together and didn't see a threat; when they woke up after getting kicked in the head, they couldn't understand how the slaves had escaped. Surprise and unpredictability is valuable, regardless of what martial art you use. When your opponent stops to ask "WTF?", you have an opportunity to attack.

  • Troll /dance :P

  • She Sexy!

  • the yellow shirt dude sound like Niko from GTA4

  • rofl :D

  • thats cool

  • lame!

  • lol so kick ass

    dis is L's fighting style!!!!

  • lmao

  • i love a woman who could kick my ass LOL

  • dats wy im glad my gf is a black belt in Taekwondo :) lol

  • Lucky Man

  • hehehehe i knw

  • wow alison hayslip is pretty flexible ;p

    capoiera FTW

  • i love capoeira

  • Looks even more swift than my style.

  • this is only effective your eddie gordo

  • L Stand and Flares. w00t.

  • just because it looks cool that means its not a martial art ? ....... ive trained with teachers who are experts at this and its brutal

  • So if you've been in an actual fight you would realize the stuff they do is not practical. Such as kicking. You will not have enough time to kick someone in a fight. Fights are close quarters and unannounced.

Check Jeet Kune Do for a real martial art.

  • Capoeira can teach you to fight with your hands chained together. How is that impractical? Also, not all fights will be in short punch range/unanticipated, & not all opponents can take advantage of weaknesses presented by kicks. All martial arts' effectiveness depends on the practitioner. Study capoeria's origin/history: it was designed to help slaves escape their slavery; Brazil outlawed it for decades because it let practitioners out-fight cops, not because it was "impractical".

  • Wheres chuck norris :[

  • Epic.

  • this is probably one of the best fighting style there is, but the downside of this is if u knock them off their groove it wont be as effective

  • alison is a little cutie

  • fighting to a beat.......you mean like a soundtrack?

HOLD ON DUDE! wait for the drum circle to start before throwing punches. i didn't really like that guys description of capoeira. its bad ass, but they made it sound like some hippie dance.
