When they unrolled the flag it was already crinkly and bumpy so all they had to do was adjust it to make it look good, the point was to make it look impressive in pictures.

@rathat48 Actually there was no "metal mesh" sewn in the flag. They were ordinary flags purchased from Sears and there were metal rods on the flag pole to keep the flag in a "waving" position. On A11, they had trouble getting the rod fully extended and the flag hung in a more wrinkled manner.

They launched July 16th, Landed on the moon July 20th. Four days, not 9.6 hours. Sorry to say Blah, even with your numbers it makes no since. Considering the shuttle design didn't come into play till much later, and the mechanical arm that is on the shuttles, didn't come into play till after several years after the first re-designed shuttle body. Check out old films of the launch, it was a missle/rocket, not a shuttle.

@efferize They didn't have the fuel to get there with one long burn of the engines. They purposefully didn't burn the engines to save the fuel. We don't even have the tech nowadays to sustain a burn for 9.5 hours because we can't that fit that much stuff into a rocket/missile/shuttle to have it lift off. They burned to get out of Earth's orbit and then burned every once in a while to stay on course. And, as further proof, Apollo 13 wasn't able to immediately turn around and come home because...

And then we didn't have the armature to grab hold of that pod when it got back, nor the fuel in the missile/rocket shuttle thing to get back to earth. Yet, our folks got back just fine. And another thing, the Russian's beat us into space, but not with a man.

The Moon is about 300,000 miles from the Earth, the Apollo took 4 days to get there. At a full velocity burn of 25,000 mph per say. Divide the two numbers. You get 12. Twelve days of travel. We did it in 4 folks, because we had that special burning warp drive fuel back then. LMAO!!!! Yeh, well. The Rocket they used may get them there, but not in four days, and the two man vehicle they landed on the moon with, would not have the fuel to get back to the rocket/missile pod.

But beyond the stars, listen to this tid bit. If the Apollo 11 did land, here is where I get confused. The Rocket/Shuttle is like the ones today. Look at it. It looks like a big missile. Today they have a craft with an arm. which allows the deploying of camera, sats, you name it.

The reason that the stars do not show up on the photos is because the stars are so dim that the camera cannot gather enough of their light in a short exposure. Our eyes are a lot more sensitive to light than photographic film.

They launched July 16th, Landed on the moon July 20th. Four days, not 9.6 hours. Sorry to say Blah, even with your numbers it makes no since. Considering the shuttle design didn't come into play till much later, and the mechanical arm that is on the shuttles, didn't come into play till after several years after the first re-designed shuttle body. Check out old films of the launch, it was a missle/rocket, not a shuttle.

What is appauling is your grammer. Dude, the rockets that launched from days of yore could not sustain a burn like that and then have enough fuel left to push through the earths atmosphere. But, then again they didn't really have to have to rockets back then. the re-entry pods were just pods. Looked like a hersey kiss. I apologize earlier for my math. @efferize They didn't have the fuel to get there with one long burn of the engines. They purposefully didn't burn the engines to save the fuel. We don't even have the tech nowadays to sustain a burn for 9.5 hours because we can't that fit that much stuff into a rocket/missile/shuttle to have it lift off. They burned to get out of Earth's orbit and then burned every once in a while to stay on course. And, as further proof, Apollo 13 wasn't able to immediately turn around and come home because...

The Moon is about 300,000 miles from the Earth, the Apollo took 4 days to get there. At a full velocity burn of 25,000 mph per say. Divide the two numbers. You get 12. Twelve days of travel. We did it in 4 folks, because we had that special burning warp drive fuel back then. LMAO!!!! Yeh, well. The Rocket they used may get them there, but not in four days, and the two man vehicle they landed on the moon with, would not have the fuel to get back to the rocket/missile pod.

Back then the segmented rocket, could deploy into space, and carry a sat, or even a two man landing craft. But, they did not have an arm in the pod that segmented from the rocket/missile ship. Uh Duh! Look at the obvious people. The shuttle is no where near what we have today. They didn't have that technology. Uh Duh! I did research when I was a teen on this very topic. About the stars, go outside and take a picture of the sky, with just a flash in a shadow. I tested it, they show up. So then I did no flash in a shadow, and yet again they show some visible trace. But beyond the stars, listen to this tid bit. If the Apollo 11 did land, here is where I get confused. The Rocket/Shuttle is like the ones today. Look at it. It looks like a big missile. Today they have a craft with an arm. which allows the deploying of camera, sats, you name it.

The reason that the stars do not show up on the photos is because the stars are so dim that the camera cannot gather enough of their light in a short exposure. Our eyes are a lot more sensitive to light than photographic film.
