Benjamin Franklin once said, "Those who desire to give up freedom in order to gain security will not have, nor do they deserve, either one." Drunk driving, which does impede others' rights is bad, and there should be strict laws with DUI's. However raising the drinking age impedes our freedom.

drinking and driving isnt wrong. driving impaired is wrong. Whether that impairment is putting on makeup, talking on a cell phone, drinking a coffee, eating a hamburger, being tired or just being a bad driver.

If a driver runs over a kid because he fell asleep at the wheel, does it matter if he fell asleep because he was drunk or because he stayed up all night playing video games? punishment should be the same. impairment is impairment.... punish the cause equally otherwise its discrimination.
