  • wow..Robbie's wife looks JUST like the queen but with different hair...akward

  • my understanding reading the contemporaries of the time tell that dudley was not much more than a cuckold and at the most a passing fancy of the queen, while until norfolk did his crime was of the highest regard and power of the realm.. so why does the movie makers continue with this bullshit, and just ignore the historical writings? such as when elisabeth was young and denied having sex historians believe her but as an adult she denies she ever gave a damn about dudly and historians say she lie

  • If Elizabeth was anything like this in real life, I'd love to go back in time and bow to her!

  • it's not quite Glenda jackason, but this is highly enjoyable.

  • I love you Tom Hardy!!!!

  • TOM HARDY!! is killing me the earing is so sexyy

  • 06:58 ARCHDUKE CHARLES of AUSTRIA - FOUNDER OF MY CITY OF KARLOVAC in CROATIA!!! It is a historic record! Karlovac - Carlstadt / city of Carl(Karl) Karlov grad.

  • I wasn't that taken with Tom Hardy when I 1st saw this but I loved him in Inception & after seeing Inception I appreciate him more here. He has 3 movies coming soon & I can't wait to see more of him.

  • I like her hair up, it makes her look better in my opinion. :)

  • Gosh Emily Fox AGAIN??? haha she's like on every BBC production there ever was :P

  • Love Tom Hardy. Perfectly cheeky as Dudley!

  • this is a annoying Dudley

  • The marriage of Amy and Robert came about by their own wishes apparently, They were married befor John Dudley got the plan to replace Mary Tudor with Jane Grey

  • Question: Who thinks that Dudley really did love his wife Amy?? Was he just pretending to be in love with Elizabeth for what she could give him?? Or did it start out like that and then he really fell in love with her??

  • I think they were both young flames with deep feelings for each other. However, they were both political animals from political families. That always complicates things!

  • To actually answer your question, I think he was fond of Amy, but that was an arranged marriage by the sounds of things (I could be wrong of course) so perhaps he grew to love her more than Elizabeth eventually.

  • @Sapphonouveau I'm torn...i always thought it was an arranged marriage but i've read a few books about his and Elizabeth's relationship and apparently he wanted to marry Amy so i dunno...i'm a romantic at heart so i want to believe that he did love Elizabeth for herself and not for what she could give him, or at least he came to love her for her own sake. It's like that scene when they are in front of the fire together discussing the two sides of her and he says "can't a man love them both?"

  • We will never know for sure. His wife did conveniently die though did she not?

  • Natalie Dormer wore that dress on the tudors.

  • @lilmissy64788

    Whta dress?

  • @lilmissy64788

    Which one?

  • @1976valy

The dress she wore when she met the spanish ambassador is the same dress Natalie Dormer wore in season 1 of the tudors, I believe in episode 6.

  • Shes mad at robbie because hes essentially groping her in public (in a more old fashioned way).

  • those lips! his lips are the type that kissing you give you life as well as pleasure and one must open up!

  • yes indeed

  • 7:47 - those penetrating eyes... (sigh)

  • I don't like Robbie

  • tom hardy plays Robert Dudley..he is wonderful...not gay!!!

  • I love the begin, especially when elizabeth told her cousin and robbie 2 shake hands, and her cousin just slapped his hand, like he didnt want 2 that was funny. But the movie itself priceless!

  • I like when Robbie says that his wife is maybe the best part of him

  • why did elizebeth get mad at robbie in the begining?

  • 'Cause he kept touching the back of her neck and stroking it in such a way...

She thought that would present her to the Spanish visitors at Dudley's whim, and she didn't want of the star power taken away from her.

  • i see now, thanks for the reply

  • good BBC show. thanks for downloading it.

  • It may not be the most accurate thing ever made, but damn, does it ever rock! Thank you for posting, it's amazing!

  • I think it is quite accurate, more so than most other Elizabeth movies I have seen.

But, as you were saying, this has such heart and soul.

  • @GhostDragon10 i would like to add, dudley was never known to be on the court competing in the game where sweat was involved.. he was considered a very weak man, and a sneak at best.. his one claim was that he grew up with elizabeth and were friends.. but as many sissy boys in all times, his friendship with a female was much closer than that of any man, in otherwords he related better with the female than with the brutal manliness of the men of his time. dudley was a joke at best.

  • Is this rather Accurate?
