The Cap creates huge distortions in the market place across Europe. It's also the way that France gets most of its money back from the EU.

It also stops British consumers buying cheaper food from outside Europe, helping preserve the poverty of Africa in the process.

Doesn't it seem as if the EU is there simply to make sure reality doesn't bite France on the arse?
