Sorry, I want to add, at least Bobo knew love for the eight months that he was with you. I'm sure he loved you as much as you loved him. The one thing I would like to say is adopting from most rescues is like climbing Mt.Everest.The make it very hard to adopt, and they make you jump through a lot of hoops. Many people are discouraged and give up. This does not serve the birds. Some of the birds have sat in rescues for years because of this
@888himmler I agree. However adopting does not always have to be from a rescue. Giving any ADULT bird a home (and the owner WILL NOT be replacing the bird) is helping. I have said for many years that most rescues are much too demanding.
Thank you for sharing this second video of Bo. It breaks my heart everytime I've seen it. The people that abuse/neglect these precious animals need to be proscuted to the fullest that the law will allow. The rescues are overflowing with birds now because of the economy. Some of the rescues have gone under because of the economy. Please adopt don't breed.
my t shirt is soaked with tears, god bless you for giving bo a chance at life, he passed away with a huge smile on his heart! i had to get my two babies out out and give em lovins! ugh how can people be so heartless and cruel! so evil! im goin to see if there is a rescue avairy close to me, i would love to volunteer my time between workin 2 jobs, my babies are rescue birds! they are awesome! charlie, my tiel, and pj my green cheek conure! bo's lil sock vests were so cute! r.i.p. bo! muah!
Bo never really died, he'll always live on in the heart of his owner and the hearts of many bird that have or are going to be rescued. what a beauitful bird.
anyone who votes this video down is a complete idiot!Tribute video to BO is worth voting up! The people who vote down i bet are breeders and bird smugglers! get out of this world you idiots who capture birds and breed them.BREEDING should be illiegal at least for 15 yrs.! i volunteer at Black Hills Parrot Welfare and look at Peach's! Almost the same story, but he was dropped to the son and the son threw boiling water on Peaches, then cut toes off! Donate to these organizations! no BREEDING!
@finchbreeder I know some very nice breeders. But a one point the bredding has to calm down. I dont buy birds from an PetCO or Petsmart. I do agree with you to some point. But the breeders that keep breeding and breeding, well thats where my comments go to.
I must say that was the most sweetest and sadest clip i have ever seen I did cry what a beautiful bird and im truely sorry for your loss just remember with you creating this Bo Bo has also now lived in in the hearts of anyone that has watched this, i wont soon forget it
BoBo was an an incredible ambassador for cockatoos (esp. Moluccan cockatoos) and Bo's owner S.S. is an incredible ambassador teaching not only the majesty of these birds, but our need to rescue them [if you MUST have one], and not buy one. If you doubt these cockatoos are intelligent, loving, sentient---miracles with feathers--then spend some time at a rescue. The hole that Bo's passing left must be incalculable: but if you rescue, not buy, then Bo's legacy will live on
@parrotdoc Thank you always for the healing that you brought to me by bringing Bo's cremains to the only home he SHOULD of known ... Seram. There shall always be a hole in my heart but that hole will give me the drive to NEVER give up; just as China gives you my friend.
Bobo was a beautiful little fellow. He went from a hole in his chest to a sock vest, and then actually feathers!! I wish people could understand that animals are living souls. They aren't like science often classifies them, just animals without feelings~just instinct! How sad for those that don't know the truth of wonderful animals really are. I completely agree, rescued animals do love more.
When I took on Tara, his story was much the same: owner died of cancer..he was neglected and wound up in a pet store, naked and shivering. I talked the owner into giving Tara to me. He is now pushing 50, and still naked and plucking, but thank GOD he is not a mutilator. He is happily sharing his life with Valentine, my U2 and Admiral Bird, a CAG.
I can only echo what others have said...PLEASE research before you decide to share your home with a bird, then ADOPT from a rescue/shelter!!
Beautiful Bird! Thank you for helping this bird and giving him love! Also, your message about adopting is really key! So many birds are bred and exploited. Anyone who is interested in getting a bird, your local animal shelters and humane societies have beautiful birds too that are in need of a home! ADOPT and SAVE A LIFE! Thank you for making this video and for your message! Did he ever stop feathering picking.... looks like a serious picking problem he had? Why did he die so young? Thanks!
Thanks for making this sad but powerful video of BoBo! Your precious Bo will live in our hearts forever because he was so amazing even after being abused. You were his angel, and I am so glad that you gave him so much love.
People need to realize that owning a parrot is like having a small child for 80 years plus! They scream, are messy, & are very demanding! RESEARCH AND RESCUE ARE THE TWO WORDS TO REMEMBER IN REGARDS TO GETTING A PARROT!
You got me crying again. This reminds me of the same effect Clifford had on me. He was one of a kind and I only was able to spoil him for a year. He just started to not mind Elly preening him. He passed suddenly, but I'll never forget the impact he had on my heart and the things he taught me.
I do anything I can to help birds. I don't want to see them suffer, I don't want them taken from the wild, from their family.
When adopting a bird, people need to think as though they're adopting a child.
I'm glad he came to know love with you, but I also feel confused. You say in the description here that "He was dumped at a pet store by his owners." and yet you said on your site that the lady that had him died (He said something to the effect of "Mama's dying.") Or was that his first owner, and he was then dumped off by his next home?
@c8tina In his story I said his 1st owner must of died because of what he said. I do not know if he was handed down to family, sold or where he was before ppl dumped him at the store. The ppl who dumped him didn't even know what he was, they gave him to the store as a "Red Crested MACAW".
Even though it is was sad, it's nice to know Bobo spent his last days with a guy like you, I have watched ur other videos and I can feel how much u loved Bobo...Excellent video!
