  • how did you use your canon ixus?

  • What's the music you use, please, I LOVE IT!! T_T

  • @1darkonyx1 As stated on the right "music shake"

  • nice video

  • Very cool ! What iso were you using? And what aperture ? Great job! I want to try it too !

  • @Leebo2560 it was a canon ixus in auto mode.

    Andy

  • them round abouts made me dizzy

  • trippy, really really trippy

  • This stuff is amazing. I don't know anything about film/camera but I like the effect of motion...it still seems organic but very visually engaging...nice work.

  • what was your interval setting for this?

  • @harry3734 a frame every 1 second.

  • Brilliant - I'm also addicted to filming car journeys!

  • Well check out my vast range of journeys by car, most recent one in HD widescreen.

  • Did you use a program called CHDK for this timelapse? or was it using something else??

  • No, just a Canon Ixus 430 that I modified so I could hold the shutter button down permanantly. Check out my latest one I did with this camera uploaded 2 days ago.

  • I really hope that i don't annoy you with this question, but the song title that you posted at teh beginning of this video is definately not what's currently playing. Did you use Audioswap, or something? (I MUST KNOW WHAT THIS SONG IS!)

  • Yes I had to use Audioswap as the musc was flagged after 2 years.

I have added the title over the top of the original for you.

  • The music sounds like something out of an early Sonic the Hedgehog game (big plus for me).

This movie is great - certainly unique. :)

  • Cheers, Check out my newer HD night time driving one.

  • this should have 1m+ views

  • Well thanks, I have made a better one since in HD format. have a look on my channel for it.

  • I saw a video using this technique of stop motion. It is something I want to experiment myself on my next project. I am trying to locate the video where I saw it. It is awesome. He did it while walking. He stop to take a pciture every few times and then put it together.

  • Hi, by the way this is not stop motion, it is strictly time-lapse video. The video you are probably thinking of is called "HD Timelapse in walking".

  • how do u do long exposure while doing the time lapse?

  • This is a point and shoot camera so in full auto mode it WILL do long exposure shots, simple as that.

  • hey this is an awesome video mate.....i have a kodak 7.1mp digital camera and i want to do exactly the same shots but it will be on a tripod and of cars going past the camera.....what tips could you give for best results?

  • kwl try long exposures on waterfalls and stuff like that they're some good pictures

    try on a nikon D300 or D3 good cameras i have a D300 my bro has a D3

  • Great job! My camera can not take photos more often than every 6 seconds giving a jerky result on my video. How did you modify your camera? I took mine to bits and hard wired the shutter to a timer

  • What kind of camera did you use and how did you set it up to take images continously? Nice job.

  • i had a pentax optio S4 that in video mode you could adjust it to shoot every 5 seconds 10 20 50 and 100 seconds. awesome camera. the lcd screen cracked on it but the camera still works ...debating whether to get it fixed just for this feature because i loved using it.

  • what kind of car mount did you use?

  • Home-made.

  • how? Velcro under the camera and on the dash board??

  • yes

  • 1:35,,

    look at the motorcycle..

  • very cool, but a bit too fast...

  • Awesome video, or photographs for that matter. Could I use this for my live performance visuals?

  • hey, im looking for something like this for a video for one of my tracks!!

if anybody wants to make it, please get in contact with me (i am an unsigned artist so money is bad)

    well let me know

    thanks

just click on my name and message me

  • Watching this made my stomach turn, just because of the oncoming traffic.. but terrific work!

  • Yes it tends to do that if you are not in control I guess.

  • Nifty work :)

  • what camera do you use?

  • Canon Ixus 430 on this one.

  • Is that the 4mp one?

  • yes.

  • where are you driving through/around

  • As per detailed video Description!. Even lists each road.

  • oh shit

    im sorry

im really bad at that and i dont really read the descriptions of videos

  • This is BRILLIANT Andy!!

  • Thanks Richard, glad you liked it. Subscribe if yo ulike my time-lapse stuff.

  • beautiful, how quick are the exposures and pictures firing off

  • 1441 photographs devided by 38 mins.

Exposure was set to full auto and varies shot by shot. Not more than a second.

  • thanks!

  • Wow - trippy colors and effects from the long exposure! :D

  • Nice effects Andy - Derby almost (!) looks exotic.

Sound similar to "Clubbed to Death" = ah wait also by Rob Duggan!!!

    Vantiveman from Mickleover

  • Brilliant!!! Check out my photography videos.

  • man thats almost a driving test route in derby... damn i must be sad for knowing that

  • what is the music called?

  • As credited in the video at 01:07 !

  • I like that a lot, good effort!

  • great stuff!! big up... i like this timelapse.

the photo-effects version seems to have gained contrast/sharpness, but lost quite some warmth in the colors.

  • so this means you had to drive around for 50 minutes doing this yes?

how did u mod the camera to take continuous photos

  • Looking at EXIF in the jpgs it was 38 mins of footage.

I modded the camera by replacing the focus/shutter switch with my own toggle switch instead.

  • WOW amazing effect

    I have to try it!!

  • wow what an awesome effect!!!

  • how quickly was the camera taking pictures? this was very cool to watch!

  • It was taking a photograph about every 2 seconds. Glad you liked it.

  • every 2 seconds but how long was the shutter open?

  • Varies depending on light level. Around 1/2 second area a lot of the time.

  • nice video m8 yeah youtube does take some of the quality out u think u could do 1 in town centre late at night on saturday tht would be mint.

  • "Do NOT attempt to take photos while driving, that would be mad!"

lol. I have already done that, and I'm sure you have as well!!! The result was surprisingly good. Sort of.

  • You certainly succeeded as usual. I don't know where you get so much patience!

I keep looking for the spider bridge on your vids, one day perhaps? Or maybe it was knocked down years ago.

  • Spider Bridge is on my video "Derby streets by Car pt 7, Peartree, Osmaston, Pride Park"

It can be seen at 03:07

  • Thank you, it hasn't changed a bit in 25 years or more!

  • Love it! Could be Las Vegas....

  • The quality has suffered on youtube but you get the feel of what I am trying to show. I have a 1024x768 pixel high resolution version which is much better.
