Poor old Boo, he always gets treated so badly. Makes you just want bring him home for dinner. A juicy, succulent dinner. With mashed potatoes and gravy.
Funny thing, the caricature of Clark Gable is shown as a soldier for the North whereas in Gone with the Wind (superb movie by the way) his character was a part of the South's army
I have no idea why...but this cartoon is just awesome. x3
I think that's what made cartoons good back then: they didn't really have a linear story. They just used several themes while repeating the same characters. The different themes were executed so well that they became legendary.
Why can't we have more of that in today's cartoons?
Sometimes, I like to disguise my self as a chicken and try to infiltrate their world, but my attempts thus far have been unsuccessful due to the untimely revelation that I am but a Human, boo!
This is the only time Chicken-Boo wasn't run out of town hated. With all do respect that's what domestic chickens purpose to man is-FOOD! and since you ARE a chicken-Well! The Union and Confederates were hungry & out of food. You were a sight for their sore eyes.Damn! you bailed at the last split second! I thought they had you for sure!
Chicken Boo actually seemed sadder about that failure then any of his others. Usually he seems like he's just gonna go off and go back to another persona, but this time he actually looks back in sadness.
@DotteeRandyPerkie He must've had an accident that gave him superpowers. I mean, he has the power to make anybody think he's a human as long as he is wearing clothes, even if all he is wearing is just a hat. Or he just got lucky during birth and his bones are hollow, giving him the ability to fly. Either one's good.
Boo is 'the emperors new clothes' metaphor. Boo is overshadowed by his own reputation so that men see what they want to in him. And the fact that they are cross-eyed here and dimwitted might have also hindered their sight.
But also, one calls him a "Chicken". To my understanding, the others always interpret that in the definition of a "coward", which is why they are always upset by that.
you try smashing someone's faith and see how they react.
I'd say that's a proper analysis. Also add in the fact that he is OBVIOUSLY a chicken, acting like one before the "disguise" is dropped only adds to the humor.
Even as others heap praise onto Boo there's always the one nay-sayer that is ultimately correct, but always is expelled from the group.
Me & my friends make up holidays & a few days ago was annoying theme song day. i sang the Chicken Boo theme song & the Batman theme song! it was awesome.
Chicken Boo what's that matter with you. You don't act like the other chickens do. You wear a disguise to look like human guys. But you're not a man, you're a Chicken Boo.
I totally agree with the comment below mine! My husband and I were just talking about how no one could see through his terrible disguises, lol. I loved how he'd peck at the ground whenever he was "unmasked".
I woke up singing this theme song this morning. I didn't know why. It creeped me out a little, actually. I haven't even watched this show for like 10 years.

@mabiniss2 Actually, they can fly - just not for very long. (The longest recorded flight of a chicken was 13 seconds.)

I find these later cartoons universally unfunny. Boo... It's a great idea but it really doesn't go anywhere.
Nothing like the old school work... give me Chuck and Tex any day.

It's funny on different levels.
