  • whats the reliability on this gun?

  • @lostd00d 100% for me so far even with steel ammo. My prob is that it isnt' very accurate without 70+ grain weight ammo.

  • The aimpoint musta been a fucking sniper rifle scope in the beginning lol

  • damn your shooting 75 grain? what twist rate is your barrel? ...my sig556 has a 1:9 and its for 65grain bullet, im pretty sure... which means an AP round. regular fmj's are 55grain for a 1:7 twist... i dont claim to be an expert...just going by what ive heard...you might be spending more on ammo then you need to be..hornady's are expensive..think they are more for bolt guns...you might get better accuracy with a 65gr.

  • @Tekn9ne11 - Mine is a 1:7 twist barrel. My understanding was that they were all 1:7.

  • @Tekn9ne11 Hornady TAP are Self Defense/Law Enforcment Rounds. So if there made it .223 most likely there based on Auto Reloading guns.

  • @Tekn9ne11 mine is 1 in 7 and it shoots like shit with 55 grain. for some reason only the higher grain weights work. It sucks.

  • I love that gun.

But the scope in the back is placed so well it looks like a huge 12 times zoom scope on the Sig it's self!

    Great gun!

    I have a SIG 552.

  • Nice! The green furniture is cool!

  • dont forget ur yellow rang card dude!!!!

  • The first scene, i though that was a long as magnifier

  • the camera angle is deceiving. at first, i thought there was some huge sniper scope on his rifle. btw cool gun

  • no wonder who killed jfk

  • damn hes so still i thought my computer froze

  • Sig 552 Commando Sniper.

  • What is a 556 Commando? The adjective "Commando" was applied to the Swiss-issue 552, which this is obviously not. Did you just make this up yourself? Is it written on the box somewhere? I'm calling BS.

  • @navyavi469

iirc the 556 "commando" was just a 556 that had green swiss style (or maybe actual swiss) furniture on it. this was while the 556 still came with the ar-15 style stock/buffer tube and "fishgill" handguards, now that the classic is out i don't think they sell the commando anymore.

  • @navyavi469 - Call whatever you like. It's SIG USA's name for the limited production run of the 556 with green Swiss furniture and a early folding stock oh ye internet bullshit caller.

  • @origin197511 thats the CLASSIC, not the commando... the commando is the 552 SBR.

  • @gvspshooter - No it isn't. Sig sold it as the commando. The classic has completely different hing and rear stock. I know, I own a classic as well.

  • @navyavi469 They definitely exists. Look it up. You can also buy a 552 Commando.

  • @Panken202

You can't buy the actual 552, they are post 1984 full auto and not availble to civilians. You can get a dealer sample or a sear and make a clone. I'm one of the few people who own a semi auto 552 clone, thing looks darned-near identical and cost a small fortune to replicate. If the 556 "Commando" is nothing but a 556 with some green parts, then its one heck of a naming SNAFU on Sig's part.

  • @navyavi469 - It was the only folding stock 556 model available at the time. I assume that was the reason for the 'marketing' name. I simply called it what SIG USA calls it. If people want one that's what it's called. If you want the real thing and can pay the price of an automobile for it, then I'm jealous.

  • What sucks about the sig is that some of there 5.56 rilfles won't feed .223.

  • aimpoint _ LM 1 - LM comp 4 ;) looks on google

  • goddamn what rifle is that behind the Sig? The scope on it looks like something out of comic books.

  • @ShinoShaw

That would be a spotting scope of horrible quality. Camera angle makes it look like I have a massive scope mounted on the SIG in some of the frames.

  • @origin197511 heh thad be a bad ass 90x sniper scope,, you need to mount that sucker to your gun, shoot flys out of the air...haha

  • @ShinoShaw

heheh i actually thought the scope was on the sig ...

  • in the first scene the aimpoint appears longer than usual.. lol.

  • i dont like two tone rifles. lol

  • Loving the black/green look. Those SIG style handguards are so much nicer than AR/rail ones.

  • How does it shoot on paper. Most videos show it shooting, but theres no targets to show how it shoot's.

  • I got 1" at 50yds. It hits what I can see to aim at at most any reasonable carbine distance. COM on a 200yd target at a competition I took it too. I would not EXPECT much more than 2-3" 7 shot groups from a stock rifle.

  • this gun is awsome...

  • Should have gone all black...

  • GOIN' COMMANDO!!!

  • How is the Aimpoint? Excellent sight?

  • Yes. Nothing like a sight that can be left on next to the dresser for years and not need to replace a battery. Not great for long range shooting but it will do the job and easier for me than irons. My eyesight is not getting better these days.

  • Nice nice, Have you tried out the magnifier for it?

  • Aimpoints are tough. You can drop it, throw it and hit it with a fish and they just work.

  • Thinking of investing in a P556 pistol and have it registered as an SBR and just slap a Magpul CTR stock on it.

Thank God I live in FL, where you can do that. :D

  • The paper work SUCKS. Good luck :)

  • Now that Obama says he will not execute any type of weapons ban, I hope to get an M-4 and maybe one of these for some novelty shooting.

  • a couple buddies of mine have the 556. These things are sweet. If FN doesn't start their full production run of the SCAR 16s before any type of ban, I'm trading in my M4 for one of these instead.

  • The select-fire version isn't out yet. I think SIG-Sauer is afraid for their investment if they start production with the Democrats in the majority.

  • Looks like an M4 SIG hybrid. You prefer this look?

  • I prefer it greatly to the original 556. Now that the classic is out I think that is now the better design but I won't know till mine is in hand.

  • the only difference between the original 556 vs classic is the front hand grip with the rails. everything else i think is the same.

  • The classic includes a folding stock more like the current Swiss folder. That was not part of the original 556. There is also some different layout on the lower receiver from what I gather.

  • hmm maybe when i was at a gun show i saw a reg 556 with the folding/collapsible stock maybe that was an add on...

  • Very possible. There were some folders similar to the commando that were released before the classic.

  • Nice, they finally figured out people wanted the original 551/552 furniture.

  • It's been a great rifle. Done well with everything I have thrown at it.

  • Get 'em while you can. Just bought mine today, haven't been happier. Great video!

  • First comment... sweet rifle bro!

  • jus wondering how much did you get your 556 for??

  • About $1400.00 for this one. The commando was a limited run of about 1000 units.
