I'm just a jazz fan--don't play myself, mores the pity, but after more than 50 adult years of listening, I know at least when I hear something good. I have no technical comments I just really enjoy your playing. I'll be listening to more of it. Happily, I found this link on Casey Abrams' twitter page. There's good reason why you would impress a lot of serious listeners with your talent.
Thank you for listening. This was recorded using a Sugal SuperGonz. For the past year or so, I've been playing on a Peter Ponzol Custom that I've been really happy with.
@FightingTheWitness - More like how reading a good book will change your way of thinking about something. Before getting the lesson, I learned Coltrane's solos, and practiced the tune on my own. What I got from Chris Potter's lesson was how to get away from just playing chord change to chord change, and create lines that weave in and out of them.
It's been a little while sine I used the program (have since started using Linux instead). If I remember, I rendered the tracks into .wav format, then just used an MP3 converter from that point.
I just recently started using Reaper, and I want to put my recordings on myspace. I figured the files would need to be converted to mp3, so I plugged them into a sound file converter and they show up as .RPP files, which seemingly cannot be converted to anything. Did you convert your files to mp3 and if so, how did you go about doing it?
You have a great Tenor Sound. Very nice. How was that lesson on Chris Potter's lessons, I came upon it a while ago, and Decided to just learn by ear this wonderful tune.
Thanks for checking it out. I thought the lesson was worthwhile. Most valuable were the exercises he wrote out over the changes in eighth-note groups of 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7. It really helped me to get away from playing 4 note patterns, and try to create more interesting lines.
Really tasty version sir

I have a quick question for you:
