i met him over this summer. he is the most down to earth guy you will ever meet. his attempt to save sgt. joshua brennan (a close family friend) was simply heroic and it was a honor to meet him. thank you to all who have served for this beautiful land!!!!!
srsly? 1 dislike? like srsly, how is it even possible to dislike some1 who risked his life to save fellow soldiers from being tortured or worse and kill a High value target in the process. this vid shouldnt even have a dislike button.
Thank you for posting this awesome clip that recognizes one of our generation's greatest heroes! Unfortunately the title of the video is not accurate. Staff Sgt. Giunta is not the "winner" of the Medal of Honor as it's not a prize to be won. He earned the Medal of Honor through his courageous actions in the service of our country and should therefor be called the 'recipient' of the honor. Thank you! :)

Also note Marcus Luttrell..... he has surely been to hell and back and if you complain about anything in your life just read his book Lone Survivor....
Mr. Giunta, I want to say thanks for your selfless act of bravery you showed during that ambush and ensuing firefight to save a fellow soldier. Please pass along our collective thanks for all of the brave things you and all soldiers, Men and Women, do to provide the security and freedoms we all enjoy in America and the world at large.
Without your sacrifices, we wouldn't/couldn't enjoy the priviledges we all enjoy today.
Pepbox, while you are certainly open to weigh-in on your thoughts, perhaps they would be better suited for a different forum. This particular topic is aimed simply to thank one extordinary individual who did something to save a fellow human in the most dire of circusmstances.
This video was displayed at a moment for maximum impact however, I don't think it detracts from the genuine feeling of pride and humble thanks most of us have for this man.
@pepbox its not military propaganda its honoring those who have been through a lot just like honoring Micheal Jordan in basketball or Joe Namath in football...........
@pepbox how is it propaganda when his fellow men can recall the events and were there to witness it? i thought propaganda was as i quote from the dictionary "The deliberate spreading of such information, rumors, etc." This doesn't seem like a rumor to me. From Canada Staff Sgt. Salvatore Giunta
@sutton123454 It's white propaganda. All forms of media designed to influence your behavior, as all forms of media are nowadays, are propaganda. That being said, just because an item is propaganda does not negate its value.

DofusXel, Agreed! Must be someone on the other side of Sgt. Guinta's heroism who "disliked" it.
