Im a big fan of 80`s music i see alot talking about Depeche Mode and New Order , Depeche Mode had more commercial success , But New Order were Underground, anyway New Order have had more Influence on music than any 80`s group they are Godfathers Of Trance and British Indie Rock

I was into Joy Division in 1980, thanks to John Peel. Then I stumbled into their uncertainty in 1981. Most things after that were, well, it depended on their mood. And your mood. They seemed to just develop and find their own way. And, if it was a hit, like Blue Monday, well it was random. Yeah. let's make something else, to push the envelope. Thieves like us, Fine Time, Ruined in a Day were the best of a great bunch, in me humble pie!

new order and depeche mode are both good groups but unfortunately depeche mode always had been more succcessful in the us and in europe , they have still hits and everybody knows them but only a few people know new order
