The whole episode of "False Witness" (is not this episode) is good, but the part when the missing guy is with Abby and tells her how he thinks McGee is interested in her, etc, and how he is definately 'the one' for her. I liked that, very...insightful, he sees what they don't. I also love the end with Tony's Christmas prank!

Well, I liked the NCIS Polygraph tester Susan Grady a lot from "The Inside Man." She was very sweet with McGee.

McAbby fans hated her very much because of her so-called "psycho eyes" and cruelly chased her off the show.

She was nice enough in the actual polygraph scene, but she creeped me out a bit in the squadroom scene with Ziva. And really, she had to get him worked up about a 'failed' polygraph just so she could strap him down and probe him about his love life? He's a nice guy - just talk to him!

I like McAbby too, but I didn't go crazy when she started seeing Marty - I kinda liked him.

LOL! I agree; she didn't need to go through all that but if she hadn't, McGee wouldn't have solved the case if she didn't mention that she shared the same train as McGee.

Marty Pearson was very cool. I liked him a lot. He was a far cry from that psychopath ex-bf of Abby's from Season 3's "Bloodbath."

Abby and McGee had a fling for a short while in Season 2. It was McGee who screwed it up when he pressed Abby about where their relationship was going and it was just their second date.

It started in season 1 with the lunch date in 1x7 Sub Rosa. The whole 'where is our relationship going?' conversation wasn't until 1x22 A Weak Link. They worked past that, but eventually broke it off because they were looking for different things. She's scared to death of commitment, but she's just as attached to him as she would be with a ring on her finger.

So while I do hope they get back together, my point is that the dates in-between aren't evil; they just have good taste.

I agree with the attachment Abby has for McGee. In Season 4's "Driven," when McGee found out how the robocar Otto nearly killed Abby, he says, "I did it, Abby," like he had indeed lost her. It was a very vulnerable moment for McGee and I love how Abby "caressed" that moment.  So she hugs him. McGee says, "Aren't you supposed to ask permission first?" Abby says, "Never with you, McGee."

I've just had this discussion about 50 times. And I love that scene you quoted. To me, they have more potential than Tony & Ziva right now. Tiva's been stretched to the max. *prepares to be badded*

Since Abby, Tim's dates have stolen his money, been stalkers, been killed or tried to kill him!

For a while the primary ships were McAbby, Tiva, & Jibbs. Each survived other relationships [Jeanne, Michael, Marty, Hollis] Other than Jenny, Tim's the only one without a recurring love interest.

Regarding Tiva being "stretched to the max," that's okay. I've gotten my share of hate PMs and I'm a Tiva fan. LOL!

While the Tiva bond is forged from all of the near death situations, flirtations, and jokes, you're right in that McGee hasn't had a recurring love interest because he's hasn't been written in the same way Tony has with Tiva...meaning he doesn't have a female partner. Abby is a lab rat and she loves it. McGee is a field agent and the only time they cross is over evidence.

Yes, they dated for a few months; yes, she used to get jealous; yes, that lasted for a few seasons. Recently, she has seemed to be more accepting, even going so far as to congratulate him on occasion. He got a hug this time, as I recall.
