Thanks alot for this video, I was constantly receiving a error that I could not relate to. After having seen this video it all makes sense to me now! Great job! Kudo's for you and keep up with posting these vid's!
The best is when you create the reference computer in a VM and then use THAT to deploy. Learned that trick from SmartDeploy (which does all the sysprepping and capturing and driver injection) but this is better if you don't have the funds required and want to do it by hand.
I am having issues with ... Specify credentials for connecting to network shares. Invalid (80070005) also I did ask for user name password & domain. But I have no domain, only workgroup & still no show.. Any help pls, would be appreciated
Great video, and you mentioned not being able to run a task sequence when booting via PXE, however, you CAN boot to PXE (or USB/CDR) in order to capture or apply a wim using a customized WinPE 3 disk, it is very handy if you just need to make a quick wim backup of a machine or restore it.
@vinchisel I`ve tried that.... i loaded the Winpe with imagex onto a usb(bootable) and tried to capture image of it using imagex and sysprep .... all i get is a 7MB file :P i`m positive i cannot make it work.... is there any reason why it is not working?
Great Video, this is what I was looking for. I am able to do this with success however when a new computer grabs the created wim file it asks for a computer name, join to domain, time, etc, none of the settings hold. I am wondering how to capture an image with a way to put that information in and have it stick to the new computer that is being imaged......any ideas? Thanks, Dave
This video is really easy the follow, only problem is that it doesnt include the sysprep process. I can capture the image now but no sysprep yet. And if I sysprep i get the error i cant connect to my WDS deployment share. While my bootstrap.ini credentials are ok? imo.... i dont know
my steps are different from yours, in the deployment wizard, 1st it's ask for administrator & password for logging into the computer,2nd after capture an image for this reference computer, its ask crendential to connect to network shares, finally after enter the credential the error come out error 800704C3
I have import all the driver for the reference computer into the out of box driver and update the deployment workbench, but dint have any change, still the same error.
Thank you for sharing the video.I follow the procedure of the video above and an error occur after restart computer, the error message is " A connection to the deployment share cannot be make".Anyone got the solution for this error?I am using mdt2010 with server 2003 to use the sysprep and captures ts to captured an existing window xp image from a reference computer.
Hi there..I have seen this error when you boot into the WinPE but you dont have the relevant network drivers in the MDT to create the network adaptor. Add the relevant Network adaptors under the out-of-box drivers and then update the MDT deployment share
@estima87 I know it's a year late, but here's info on that for reference & if it will help anyone else:
Google "fix for multple connections to a server"... should be the top result... Apparently you cannot post links in comments anymore (probably to cut down spam), otherwise I would.

Hey Bud,
spent 2 hours+ struggling as to why my Sysprep and Capture was failing "unable to find the file specified" when PXE Booting to run this TS.
Really appreciate your video, especially your comments at the end which is what alerted me to my issue! You have my undying gratitude friend.
Best Wishes and My Thanks,
Adam
