All Linux users are liars and are just causing consumer confusion through ill informed information. The computer industry is in shambles because of the lies spread by linux users! Consumer confusion is rife and its from ill informed facts that have no validity to them whatsoever.
I love it how Mandriva with XGL-Compiz put Vista to shame.. VISTA SUCKS!! I ran Vista on my XP system for two weeks and then went back to XP. I only use Winblows as a gaming system, Winblows sucks for any real work. Microshaft is mad cause Vista is selling like crap. I wonder why??? LMAO, way to go Microshaft, Millions of dollars went into making Vista and that's the best you came out with? LMAO.
I Normally Use Geexbox (waaaay better than Windows media player) takes up only 25meg HDD space and 8Meg of RAM! Can play movies on a 8Meg ATi Rage! had it working on an old AMD k6 450Mhz now running a P3 450 100FSB which has been oc'd to 133FSB. board is a GA-BX2000+
On my PC I use AIGLX/Beryl and a Mandriva 2007. My graphic adapter is an Nvidia Geforce 7600GS with 512MB DDR2 memory. Maybe, your graphic adapter is an ATI and so you have to use XGL/Compiz.

I thinked that mandriva uses XGL/compiz and not AIGLX/Beryl because my PC rouns the 3d of Mandriva because my graphics card isnt supported by AIGLX

Yeah thats right its an ATI Xpress 200 IN a HP pavilion slimline s7520 so mandriva has the two XGL and AIGLX I supose and it choses the best for you

Is it not easier to use Ubuntu for Multi media because of the Automatix software?

I'm sorry but I don't know Ubuntu. I use Mandrake/Mandriva, Suse and Red Hat. In my opinion Mandriva is a good distro for multimedia.
