  • hello naka sulat sa recipe mo na 1 pouch of yeast. how much measurement is one pouch? dito kase sa philippines malalaki yung packaging ng yeast po..:)

  • I made this and it was so good! We finished it in a day! Except for the filling my dad made pork adobo, it stll tasted good.

  • btw! quick tip! after the filling is done, put the filling in the fridge! let it cool and let the sauce rest so it will have a like a jelly consistency. so that when u put the filling into the dough it will not run or water. enclose the dough and cut a square piece of paper and let the siopao rest there ( u know what i mean here, it has a paper at the bottom of the siopao hehe "balat ng siopao") please read my comment here and im sure it will help u and make a good siopao..its my family recipe

  • there's a missing ingredient! it's the star anis! boil the star anis and then mix it with the filling.. i would prefer chicken meat than pork.. also use a weighing scale to have equal cut of dough. maybe like 2 ounce of dough is enough. then roll the dough using a rolling pin, put the filling and then add quail eggs! i promise it will give extra taste! i like also to use vegetable oil and brown sugar good luck!!

  • Dun sa mga nag aaway away, ok here is coming from me, a culinary arts student. Walang mali sa paglu2to as long as the end product is edible, clean and palatable of course syempre un process should be clean too. For example me, i have my own version of each foods na nilu2to ni mr.panlasangpinoy... i just check out his version but not to say that my version is greater than his :). Pinakamahalaga jan kung magugustuhan ba ito nung kakaen.

In the end, I do look at other recipes and see what the little differences are. Then, I choose to experiment on the SUGGESTED recipe.

    Pare, yung siopao recipe mo was my starting point. Ngayon, I am doing a really great recipe. Thank you.

Kanya kanyang style yan, especially kapag nasa ibang bansa ka, you'll always opt for the closest recipe you can get, I know, I'm from chicago and by far this is the closest recipe to the Philippine siopao that I ever made (and it tastes better too).

  • @EvolutionIXRR Read the description, It's not stated that he'll make siopao asado the PHILIPPINE way, it simply says "the panlasangpinoy way" whereas it clearly states that he made it in his own way/style/technique. I would suggest that you think twice before making any idiotic comments.

    Gusto mo pork asado, bola-bola, shao-mai, corned-beef, chicken asado, with egg or without.

    Na gugutom na ako sa you. CUAPAO gusto mo? ahehehe.

  • hello po..thanks for the great recipe.... ung unang try ko dati ng siopao galing s ibang site medyo namali ako sigruo kasi naging brownish ung siopao ko though the taste was good...this time white n because of this great cooking video demo.... kaso ang problema ko nmn medyo parang matigas p daw or hilaw ng konti ung dough ko eh almost 20 minutes ko inisteam...

    How i wish maperfect ko n siya s sunod and magaya ko ung way ng pagclose mo ng dough with filling.......heheheh

  • @lovelymae81 i dont thnk there is anything wrong with what she said... actually... ang yeast has 2 kinds... active yeast and instant yeast... ang yeast na ginamit nya dito... hindi dapat nilalagay sa tubig na maligamgam with sugar... and anything na wet at dry na ingredients dapat minimix separately... pag nahalo chaka lang dapat imix together... princesskathryn28 should be commended pa nga to point it out.. or else.. mahirap imasa yung dough that what should be
