  • I enjoyed this aria

  • Thank God - finalmente someone to carry on the great tradition of American super-baritones: Tibbett, Weede, Warren, Merrill, MacNeil, Milnes Quilico & now Mr. Stearns. We bid you a welcome with open arms, sir!

  • THE BEST!

  • Jason is a beautiful singer, a great colleague, and a nice guy... Always a pleasure to hear him!!!!

  • He is phenomenal! I saw him perform yesterday in Macbeth by Verdi and it was mind-blowing!

  • Bravo Mr. Stearns. He has a phenominal voice. I got the opportunity to work with him in Rigoletto. Wonderful person, great personality and work ethic.... AMAZING resonance... my ears would buzz like crazy whenever he would sing.

He has a perfect voice for Verdi, Puccini and the like... He is stilll in wonderful form. I only wish there were more youtube videos from this wonderful baritone.

  • wow! this guy is really good! where have they been hideing him.

  • Magnificent rendition! Thanks for posting.

  • Got a little bit of George London in him, doesn't he...

  • Well done,,,,,,concidering it must have had a low budget.......!

  • Jason Stearns has a pure and beautiful voice! Also, that is my Uncle! His voice is truly amazing... Impecable ! Bravo! Love, shelli :)

  • Bravo! What a magnificent performance - Stearns version of Scarpia is indeed a portrayal of what a jealous twisted lover should be.

  • i simply can't beieve it!!! this baritone is a miracle!!! almost as good as gobbi, who actually happens to be my standard...

  • My favourite part of my favourite opera! Wish I could smell the incense.

  • This man knows how to sing as the singers did in the Golden Age. He knows what pharyngeal resonance is. Why isn't he singing in all the major opera houses of the world? What a sad, pathetic time in which we live, when youngsters with six- pack abs who don't know how to sing correctly are "stars!" The people in charge mostly don't know ANYTHING about the singing art.

  • billyguns2, It is a sad pathetic time we live in. I don't like those six pack abs guys and the skinny little bimbos for that matter either. Most of them couldn't sing their way out of a paper bag.

  • Excelent delivery!

  • I thought I recognized his name...I saw him in Samson et Delilah in Miami...what a voice, what a stage presence.

  • Yes! This is a great voice for Scarpia!! I love it!

  • Che voce! Bravo....

  • Yeah, Stearns is amazing as usual, but the flippin' chorus is just fantastic!
