Åhhhh....... den gode gamle Scania lyden... Det er en lyd man bare må elske uansett hvilken lastebil man liker... gamle minner strømmer til... husker den gamle bilen til fattern: en 143.. noe av det beste som har skjedd meg... naboen hadde en 111, som onkel kjøpte... må pusses opp.. var en gammel tømmerbil som ved en ulykke havnet på siden og hele venstre sida på hytta var ødelagt. det ble fikset og det ble til slutt en grusbil. noe av det fineste jeg har sett er en cocksgrå..

My first time hearing a Scania V8 was hear on you tube, but my ship pull into France and I took a bus trip up to Paris, or Bova bus pass some Scania truck with that loud V8! Put our newer Petter built and Kenworth to shame!

Use to see a straight piped Scania v8 Truck outside my job sometimes and when that accelerates to 60 mph you can hear it a long way . It sounds great .

what do you need for the turbo sound?

only thing you need is no silencer and a piece of exhaust pipe directly connected to the turbo and you will have this nice sound. it is due law not possible to get sound on a truck with a euro-4 or 5 engine

Beautiful! I have driven a 143 and a 144 (530) when I was still truck driving. Amazing sound in the 143 going uphill, and the beautiful idling on newer v8, crang-crang-crang-crang. The best features with these engines are the amazing performance in long uphills; although the horsepowernumbers are not high, they will outpull most European trucks when going over high places. Don't think americans can beat these, at least not with same displacement
