Do you recommend i3? can it run most games on max with a good graphics card? because i'm hearing mixed things about intel and AMD and GPU>CPU debates.
@RetroTaco Yes i recommend the i3 and the i3 2120 is having a price reduction soon so that would be great.Yes it can the graphics card is what helps get you more fps. The debate about amd and intel is that if your low on money go with amd and get a phenom ii x4 9xx and if you got money to spend get an intel. You can also try the new amd processor A-series and do hybrid graphics with an AMD graphics card. The processor has its own graphics so its basically using two graphics cards.
@RealGameTesting lol when noobs started spreading is when tf2 was at its best xD i got 100/2 with the machina in dustbowl xD btw can i run this game "
Just built my system with win 7 64bit, I want to post a L4D2 video but how do I rec the screen? I have a 1920x1080 LCD that I want to max L4D2 out on.
I hope I can have a PC like yours for christmas. I'll get all the basic stuff when I enter college this August and ask Santa for a 6770. Good PC. Any chance you can tell me what fps you get in other games?
@RealGameTesting I'm only looking foward to play the STALKER series and The Orange Box, so any of those games would be OK. Maybe some online multiplayer games too if you can. Thanks for answering. lml
if only source games and only source games at 1080p I think the HD 6770 would be great but you might play other games e.g. Crysis 2 so to be on the safe side if you got the money get an HD 6870.
@RealGameTesting Looks good, I'm building a new system with 4 GB of ddr3 ram, i3-2100, XFX 5770, all on an ASUS P8H67-M LX (REV 3.0) board. Do you think I should go with a 64bit win 7?
@MEGAONE302 With 32bit OS your system can only access to about 3.25GB of RAM, so that's .75GB you can't use. With a 64bit OS you don't have this problem, your system will handle as much memory as you have in it.
Awesome! I'm getting this! iBUYPOWER Black Gamer Power WA920i Desktop PC with Intel Core i3-2100 Processor, 2TB Hard Drive and Windows 7 Home Premium

@Platibus666 If you primarily want to play source and STALKER games, do yourself a favor a 6570 and save a decent chunk of money.

@RealGameTesting I can only do 720p right now, but feel free to use 1080p if you want. I may buy a new monitor next year.
