I've heard this standard played many different ways, by many great pickers...but I've never heard it played better than this!!! Great tone...splendid phrasing and timing...nonpareil technique. I listen to this over and over...and never tire of it! Bless your heart, Donna!
I've never seen so many Peavey amps in one place at one time. Super tone she gets in her Franklin and awesome player. Wish she would come out of retirement at least for a little while.
IT is refreshing to see such talent i think of barbara mandrell and the tslent shr has.Does donna do any c6th work probably dont need to with the she plays that money neck.
I own a Franklin it is in My Videos, look at it for 19 years old, still looks new Mr Frankin is a top notch builder as well as a wonderful Man, Donaa also graces a Steel good work Donna I hope You pick with someone , if not get it out you never lose the love of a Pedal Steel, Thank You
Re, Franlin Steel Guitars, If You watch My Videos You will see Me playing a Franklin, Mr Paul Franklin Sr is a FIRST RATE MAN. I meeded with My Compensators on my steel called Mr Franklin,he would NOT charge me to fix something I messed up, it stays in tune like no other .I have Played it for 21, it is 19 years old in My Videos, and still plays like NEW, Donaa Sure graces a Steel Guitar I hope She still Plays with Someone to good to waste, Thanks Donna
This number" I Love You Because" by Donna is one of her best numbers, which I've heard on U-Tube. It's a crying shame that such talent is hidden from the public to hear. Fell in love with Donna the first time I heard her playing back-up for Bill Anderson. I'll bet she has sold many " Franklin's " for Paul and Co. Come back, Donna.. We all love you..
I will say, that was beautiful, I have never scene Donna play live ether but would hope some day that she would start playing again, and I think I can say others would to.. this is my first post on youtube, and I felt that this one was worth posting, I would like to listen to you play someday , thanks...
I have been to alot of steel shows for the past 8 years or so and have never scene Donna or heard her play live, does anyone know why she does not go to conventions anymore?? If someone knows please send me a message, thanks.
Donna got married and has kids now. She gave up professional picking several years ago. However she does still attend (not play) some of the steel shows. She was at the ISGC in September of this year.
I wish she still played, she's awesome!

If Donna is as good at raising her kids(which I am sure she is), as she plays ... They all must be exactly perfect and are destined for greatness.
She is a Supreme Player.
