Holy crap! I LOVE the Illusions of Grandeur idea. Plus, since I'm an old school player, I have one (hated it when I first saw it. hah.)

I added a bazaar trader to my zedruu deck. But i decided i wasnt a fan of giving things away, and my deck quickly turned into nin the pain artist.

I went from giving things away to stealing everything on the bored, and killing controlled creatures with nin for extra advantage. I kept perilous research as my best kill spell. Anything i took from another player, i would sac for even more advantage. I had to stop playing the deck though, as my play group liked their permanents as much as i did.

Wait, you cut Trade Secrets but wanted Group Hug cards? It draws you more cards than Compulsive Research for the "negative" of helping out an opponent - if you're running Group Hug effects, it's the definite better choice. Also, Journey to Nowhere and Oblivion Ring are great to donate.

Why would you take out brainstorm, never in a million years would I take that card out!

For a bit of targeted gifting there is Pyromancer's Swath and Jinxed Idol.
