  • if we want to live! becouse!!! HE!! is the LORD!!! OF THIS WORLD!!!! SO!! if we want to live. we HAVE!!! TO obey to him! so he will single handly solo those EVIL DEMONS, HE! whas the great ancient god that sent those foul creatures into another dimension. he CAN! and will once more.

  • after the propechy of maya, and their calendar, the world stops at 21/12/12. they were smart race, but we don't belive them cuz back in that day, many belived in many strange things. but the truth is. there is another dimension out there somewhere with cthulhu and all those. but on THAT DAY! WE SHALL FEAR THEM! Cuz we will, it lies in the human blood to fear and see ancient evil gods, cuz we live in fear. but don't be confused. we HAVE !! to stand upp! and obey to the lord of hell!

  • at the day of 21/12/12, the great old gods of evil and hate and destruction and death, will show them selves to the earth and destroy the earth apart. Nyarlathotep, Cizin, Sutekh, cthulhu, Chalchihuitlcue, all the great ancient gods of the earth that once stood upon and walked among the earth, but whas sent back into another dimension and so on, and whas cast out of this world, and whas banished. but on 21/12/12, they WILL COME! And you are NOT PREPARED. BEWARE! THE ANCIENT GODS ARE RETURNING!

  • Reminds me of Bal-Sagoth. Look up Bal-Sagoth The Cthonic Chronicles, Epic Cthonic mastery.

  • so i'm just now hearing about this Cthulhu feller....is it just me or does he remind any one else of the "Sligs" from the 'Oddworld' games

  • what's the soundtrack of the begining? D:

  • this guy looks bad ass

  • and when the stars collide he shall rise from his ancient tomb to mark their return and in earths time of need we wont be praying to gods well be praying to dante son of sparda

  • cool

  • You guys don't really believe this stuff..Right?

  • @PresD23 Wrong.

  • @PresD23 No one does, but Lovecraft was an amazing author, right beside Poe. People appreciate his work.

  • @PresD23 It's all tongue-in-cheek.

  • @PresD23 <---loves jesus

  • @PresD23 Don't you love all the different replies you're getting?

  • @PresD23 ._. are you saying that you don't?

  • @Aaronthegreatest oh but of course I do! Praise C'thulu!

  • @PresD23 all hail Cthulhu!!!!!! Priest of madness!!!!!! Cthulhu Fhtagn!!!!!!

  • "That is not dead which can eternal lie, and with strange aeons, even death may die"

    -The Call of Cthulhu

    HP Lovecraft

  • Nyarlothotep is sort of like a kid who burns ants with a magnifying glass, no one stops him because they don't care about the ants and yet it's undeniably creepy to spend your time picking the legs off a spider or the wings off a fly. To an Outer GOD we are not even insects, we are the viruses that you kill when you wash your hands. Do you have any idea how many amoeba you've killed today? 100? 500? 1000?

  • @Yawehplaneswalker616 well said.

  • Learn to spell

  • "Iä! Iä! Cthulhu fhtagn!"

  • I think arnold raped him in predator hehe

  • lol

  • @JakobsMovieTutorials good insurances?

  • Cuthulu shall not rise again. Enki will not allow it.

  • nigga you guys crazy

  • I totally thought that the picture was backing up the whole time. The music and voice are hypnotic. Great job!

  • This is the Spirit of Youtube. The spirit of AWESOME!!!

  • Nerds

  • @tablob poop

  • 7 people lost their minds.

  • Ia!

  • fucking dumb ass. he not a wow god. look it up

  • I named my cucumber plant Cthulhu. He is a really terrifying plant, who chokes the life out of all that oppose him. Frankly, I'm starting to fear for my life (and sanity).

  • RETARD SPELLED PRISON WRONG

  • VULTLAGLN CTHULHU!

  • I just finished my first Lovecraft Book, The Case of Charles Dexter Ward, and it was incredible! I finished reading it in three day, and on monday I'll head down to the library and borrow some more books!!!

    Great song btw! ^_^

  • Anyone got the name of the chants at the beginning?

  • even hastur. "the unspeakable." is based off cthulhu

  • Song name?

  • @Shadow7787 "Cthulhu Rising", by Nox Arcana.

  • Evry horror books basic is that the victim cant do anything against the "bad guy " damon or whatever. Hp lovecraft did this in a very extreme way. The victims are the humans they are the almost weakest race in the universe those old gods could if they wanted destroy us easily but most of them think we are unimportant, so they dont. The creepiest thing is that those OLD ONES live under our feet, wich makes the horror perfect. But he never wanted anyone to belive in it, its just a book!

  • @cavier17

    Yeah.

In Lovecraft´s times science had found out that we descended from mammals, that we ARE mammals, that our sun is nothing special, just one of millions and billions, etc.

It was a shock to mankind who considered themselves as the "crown of creation", but we´re not.

We´re really nothing special, we´re weak, we´re helpless against forces that could easily kill us (like earthquakes, supernovas, black holes, etc.) and we don´t really understand what´s going on yet.

  • Now let this feeling work on you for a minute and then read HPL´s stories again.

This feeling of being alone, weak, helpless, unimportant and rather ignorant is what his stories are all about.

  • saw it in southpark xD Than i was curious, but i see this is only a dumb religion invented by people who belive in UFO's and ghosts DUMB

  • @cavier17 uh... It isnt a religion... Cthulhu is an horror character created by H. P. Lovecraft.

  • @cavier17

Ghosts? UFOs? Naah....but the great, green and hatefilled one will certainly eat your flesh and devour your soul.

  • @NKA23 do you really believe in this or do you only think the story is cool?! I like the story too it is really interessting but i dont believe in something like that.

  • @cavier17

    Well, take a guess....

  • @NKA23 you really believe in this...

  • @cavier17

Well, Actually I sometimes do, but not on a regular basis.

But fans of HPL will ALWAYS make jokes about being cultists.

Just read his stuff, you might understand afterwards...

  • @NKA23 i know the story a little but it is stupid evrybody knows that under the earth cant live any gods damons or "old ones" there is only magma not more. and why the hell should a cult want damons to kill evry human on earth, i can understand people who believe in god they wanna go to heaven but isnt it stupid to want some monster killing people?! What is the reason why you wanna wake up cuthulu?

  • @cavier17

He´ll wake up anyway, but he will kill those who worship him first and without any pain.

The rest will suffer a destiny worse than death.

  • @NKA23 but HP lovecraft never says in his book that he really believes in this! Do you think george lucas believes in lightsabers and in people living in another galaxy long time ago? Its only a cool story like harry potter the author actually does not believe in wizards only because she wrote a book about them? Dont you think it is a little bit inlogical that those "old ones" and "old gods" exist without being created by anyone? I really like the story too bur i will never belive in it.

  • @cavier17

Well, Cthulhu was "created" by Yog-Sothoth who is an Outer God which means that he (or IT) doesn´t even come from this universe.

Lovecraft left many things in darkness, only mentioned alongside.

But let me ask a question to you....do YOU believe that I believe in Cthulhu as being real?

  • @cavier17 Christians belive in god

  • @nintendo1941 this has nothing to do with what i said in my last comment...

  • @cavier17 XD retard its a book

  • @TheVideoMenace1 i know -.-

  • thumbs up if you only know cthulhu from south park :)

  • Cthulhu... An amazingly beautiful, yet dangerous entity. A god, yet merciless. When "they" return... I hope I'm dead. Because Cthulhu will be right there with them.

  • @TheCryptidman

When Cthulhu returns, he will eat our flesh and drink our souls, he will reclaim his realm, he will torture, he will punish, he will kill us cultists first and without pain...that´s why we praise his name and bow down to him.

Please, great lord Cthulhu, please kill me first....

  • @NKA23 "Us" cultists? Sorry, I'm Pagan.... I don't belong to a Blood Cult....

  • @TheCryptidman

Well, then your suffering will be immense when HE returns to reclaim his realm.

People like me will be chewed and we will die quickly and relatively painless...pagans like you will be swallowed, you´ll slide down his gullet for more than half an hour while tiny jaws will take small bites out of you and then you´ll fall into a cathedral sized stomach filled with other dying people and gastric acid where he will devour you for decades....

  • @NKA23 Yeah, yeah... Sure. I am a strong pagan, able to curse those I wish with the "Evil Eye". I think that if I can fend off powerful demons with Thunder Water and Spirit alone, I will be able to fend off Cthulhu with myself and blessed silver arrows bathed in holywater, along with friends and family I hold dear. I really hope that you know what you are getting into, with this cult thing. This "Cthulhu" is powerful because you and others fear it. I do not. I respect it. I have power over it.

  • @TheCryptidman

    No, you don´t...

The Great Old Ones were, they are and they will be...nothing a mere human being could do, will ever hurt them or keep them from doing as they wish.

Great Cthulhu is a mountain walking, as though as he a living being it´s a GOD compared to us meek and unsignificant germs. He will eat you and devour you without even wasting a single thought on you or your kind.

  • @NKA23 You are only joking right? I hope you don't honestly believe that creatures like chutulu exist. They were created by Lovecraft's imagination. Believing in them is like beleiving in Morgoth or the Valar of Tolkien lore.

  • @saxabass

Well, the Valar won´t rise and kill each and every living thing on this planet, Cthulhu will.

  • @NKA23 Yes of course they wont. Neither will chutulu, because he is an invention of the imagination. Lovecraft never claimed the gods of his mythos existed, and even if he did that would not make these "old ones" real. There is no evidence for them, like there is no evidence(arguably) for allah, krishna, or jehova.

  • @saxabass

Well, Allah, Krishna or Jehova don´t sleep in a sunken city somewhere in the south pacific...Cthulhu does.

  • @TheCryptidman "amazingly beautiful, yet dangerous entity. A god, yet merciless." --Just like the Sea (look at its track record). And it's here right now...and rising...

  • @TheCryptidman You don't have much time to die if you want to be gone when they get here. Perhaps you can just go ahead and worship him? Cthulhu eats his worshipers first. Line starts behind me, bud.

  • @TheCryptidman You seem to misinterpret the great old ones. They are not so much malevolent as they are indifferent to humankind, kind of like how most humans do not go out of their way to kill insects, if one gets in your way they will end up dead. The only being in the Cthulu mythos described as being truly evil is Nyarlothotep. :)

  • @XxWD2xX Actually, I don't think of Cthulu as evil. Cthulu is a merciless being, but not evil. Many people argue over the true god of the sea... Posidon, Neptune, Davy Jones. They're all the same. Posidon and Neptune are both thought to have tridents... As does Cthulu. Davy Jones is thought to have a squid like face. As does Cthulu. DINGDINGDING! WOW! Connections!

  • not going to lie cthulu scares the living shit out of me and its just a picture....

  • not going to lie cthulu scares the living shit out of me and its just a picture....

  • nice video

  • come to daddy.

  • I thought this was only on south park haha omg

  • i think that when Cthulu comes back and he looks at the world now he's gonna be like "i want my sunken tomb again!! o.o"

  • Comment removed

  • I am insane with moments of horrible sanity

    Edgar Allan Poe

  • you do know this is all based on a fiction book, right?

  • @Tasteysheds47 Do you have any proof that Cthulhu dosen't exist? Also sanity is definetly over rated, as for myself I'm eccentric billoionare with intrests in hedgehog spotting. Ia! Ia! Cthulhu Fhtagn! ^(;,;)^

  • @AvatarofCthulhu i can tell you that cthulu is a character from a science fiction book. and that this whole religion is a big global scam just like the rest of the worlds religions

  • @Tasteysheds47 It's not a religion, it's just an intresting concept that is intriguing.

  • @AvatarofCthulhu Proof? Yes. H.P. Lovecraft himself wrote it as a work of fiction. BTW, If you're so rich, why the hell are you troling youtube?

  • @Tasteysheds47 I can believe in what ever I wish. (;,;)

  • is it okay to think he looks badass and cool even if i dont believe in Lovecraft or cthulhu? im just wondering <.<

  • That nearly a century later the idea of giant monsters in hellish cities in the depths of the ocean is still scary is testament to Lovecraft's genius in creating an enduring vision of terror in the unknown - will we ever know what goes on in every dark corner of the planet?

  • I disagree with both the Highest Rated comments.

  • Awesome. This was badass. Best picture of Cthulhu I've seen yet.

  • Cthulhu Mythos is amazing....Ilove it !!!

  • Ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wagn'nagl fhtagn

  • he was on south park(:

  • This is all fictional anyway, comes straight from the mind of Mr. Lovercraft.

  • Ia Ia Cthulhu fhtagn, praise his dark name.

  • WUT THE FUCK IS CTHULU?

  • @minnieskater He's a member of 'Coon and Friends'

  • more of a devil, than a god

  • you people are scary, wierd, and evil but cthulhu looks cool

  • jee i didnt know cthulhu wus the king of the jews

  • i think he is more of a demon than a god

  • @SSmack24 Okay bud its cool since you responded with respect. Thank you.

  • @SSmack24 it was just a joke bud i dont lterally believe that.

oh and thanks for calling me stupid when ive never commented on anything you posted

  • 2012.....THE RETURN OF CTHULHU!

  • @straightpimpin888 HAIL!!!!!!!!!

  • Question: What is the MOTIVATION of Cthulhu and the Great Old Ones to bring about destruction on earth, if they have all the other stars to ruin and play with?

  • @DiamondbackCobra ahahahah good one indeed who will aswer

  • man i can´t like this

if that guy doesn't shut up

  • Is Cthulhu actually a god? I thought he wasnt according the Lovecraft mythos

  • @l337man4 I'm not quite sure how to answer that one. I've read some writers who refer to him as one of the Elder Gods- Lovecraft himself doesn't make it too clear one way or another- but I've mostly heard that he's an Old One. If he is an Old One, then he could still be considered a god above that of an Earthly god. However, I'm not sure if he could be considered anything greater than that, for instance, an Outer god like Nyarlathotep, Shub-Niggurath, or Azathoth, or an Elder god like Nodens.

  • @mistergomezmmwg I'm also pretty sure he's one of the Old One's. I know he's definitely not one of the outer gods.

  • @mistergomezmmwg think of him as a demi god thats the best way i can think to put it.

  • @mistergomezmmwg lol the higher the god, the more complicated the name, excluding Azathoth and Shub Niggurath, those are pretty easy

  • @mistergomezmmwg There aren't really any gods in the Cthulhu mythos. Cthulhu is supposed to be an old extraterrestrial being with knowledge and power so vast he is considered among mankind to be a god.

  • @mistergomezmmwg Hes the high priest fi Azathoth god of insanity and darkness

  • @l337man4 A simplistic way to answer this would be to say "To a human mind, yes. To others of his kind, perhaps not." Or just ask an ant if we look like gods to them.

Perhaps demi-god would be the closest accurate description.

  • @l337man4 Cthulhu was actually the priest of the Elder Gods. He was granted much knowledge and powers from the Elder Gods which he in turn used against the Gods when the Old Ones revolted against them. For that Cthulhu was banished to R'lyeh.

Now as far as the possibility of him actually being a God, well there are many myths and beliefs from Mesopotamia. I have not been able to keep up on all of them, but I do know that there are similar versions to Cthulhu that HP could have taken from.

  • @l337man4 he is not a god, how ever humans worship him as one.

  • @l337man4 His is not a god but an ancient alien that appears as a god to us lower creatures. There are other entities in the Mythos that are close to gods, like Yog-Sothoth and Azathoth, but even these are more aspects of the universe then actual gods persay

  • @l337man4 He's the child of a god and a demon. so technicly. No, he's not

  • @l337man4 The question is how do you define a god. If you say a powerful immortal yes then he is a god

  • @l337man4 Cthulhu was a massive, awesomely powerful being from the stars that was worshipped as a god by primitive peoples. Lovecraft was an athiest.

  • @varanid9 You can be an atheist and still write a mythos about gods, hence why I asked.

  • @l337man4 HPL described himself as writer of "stories of wonder", not horror. His belief was that Reality was too great and mind-twistingly incomprehensible to Man so that he had to invent religions and superstitions to put it all into a package digestable by his small mind. His stories usually (not always; some of his stories were outright fantasies) reflected this more and more as he got older (and more disillusioned, perhaps?), until he was finally writing science fiction.

  • this is similer to that one song by bal-sagoth. I love Hp loovecraft amazing works of fine literature, shame that they dont teach his work at schools

  • @vampxblade Yeah it is, it's probably because the language is so sophisticated in the novels, and parents would be mad about the cult that is talked about in H.P.'s novels.

  • @TheKray11 I agree with you that the parents be peeved about the cult in Lovecraft's novels. But, like with the question of defeating Yog-Sothoth by poking him in the eye, which cult do they choose to peeve about?.

  • @mistergomezmmwg ikr? They teach fucking edgar allen poe, and william shakespear, but not h.p. lovecraft? Really? Dumbasses. You are more likely to get a cult from poe or shakespear then lovecraft.

  • @vampxblade That would make one of the coolest theology courses ever!!!. 8D

  • is this out of some book??? links getting wierder and wierder...

  • what song is this from nox arcana?

  • Ia! Shub-niggurath! The Black Ram of the Forest with a thousand ewe!

  • no chance against the most high GOD. just read Jude of the bible. it speaks about those angels that are locked away. the truth is all thru the bible in reference to those that rebelled, were imprisoned and will be released for a season only to ultimatly lose an unwinable war against their creator and suffer the punishment reserved for those that knew GOD and rebelled even having the truth. way to mislead people. repent man!!!!! if there are fallen ones then GOD is real!!!!

  • Radix Omium Benevolum Dementia

  • if the BP spill gets too bad, we'll have this to deal with.

  • Great

  • jeezzz why is all alinen creatures so eager to take over humanity,

what the fuck is so great about earth any way? global warming? fine economies?

  • @void735 It's not about taking over humanity. We're as insignificant compared to Great Cthulhu as ants are to us, or even less. He has ruled over the planet for eons, so many million years ago, so he will simply retake what is rightfully his.

(note that I'm aware of the fictional nature of Cthulhu)

  • @l0rf but still can you tell me in that case what happend to the elder gods? they never say anything about them

  • @void735 The Shoggoths, their own creation, began to think and overthrew them as they had made them too strong and powerful. Their servants assumed much of their language and their culture, so a little of the Old Ones lives on in their slaves, the Shoggoths.

  • @l0rf isee.. make sense i though Hastur was like one of their elder gods. but as again you barey ever read about him

  • i acaly find dagon cooler than cthulhu

  • All hail the insanity of man and the maddness of the Gods!

  • Io Cthulhu lo immaginavo più grasso.

  • who is edgar allan po and what is he?

  • waaaaaaaaaaack!

  • NO REAL INSIGHT

  • sanity is overrated plus no normal people are sane

  • @ironhidewulf I agree. Edgar Allan Po was mad. Lewis Carrol was bonkers. Even Albert Einstein was thought to be a loony. It is very overrated to be sane.

  • @mistergomezmmwg Hooray for insanity! X3

  • @mistergomezmmwg agreed, sane poeple are boring

  • @mistergomezmmwg Edgar Allan Poe had bipolar disorder and Albert Einstein had Asperger's syndrome. I'm not sure about Lewis Carrol, I think he was just a nutter.

  • @Bungogin Poe had Melancholia. Very similar to Bipolar, but much worse.

  • @ironhidewulf sane people walk around like cattle, unaware of the reality they can never see. They lead pointless lives for the comfort of the here and now. Only when you take a dip into the font of madness can you experience reality for what it truly is. The more you grow acustomes to the horror of the real, the more you understand, but the more mad you become.

  • Cthulhu is so overrated.

    Azathoth pwn his ass.

  • @PhreakStep your in the cult arent you

  • Cuthulhu is my favorit monster. he is kick ass!

  • @DOOMDRAGON2251 yeah i guess but dagon is my mon

  • it is said, only in a state of madness one is truly a god, when mad, one does not give a fuck about what some people know as good or wrong, me personally took that limitation out of my head long ago, ya should do the same, when mad, karma and all other limitations created by the human mind are gone

  • @55Skate55

Not when Mad, but out of your mind.

  • @Radagaisus you get the point, when the mind has no limiting factros, not even the body

  • , making a madman's mind not reject any ideas or thoughts, when one is sane some thoughts or ideas are poured on the brain but what one does not like does not stick to the brain at all, being biased. only madmen have no limits

  • @55Skate55 "only madmen have no limits"

No limits to screwing yourself over.
