I was in Egypt for two weeks in 2007 on an alumni tour (Concordia College, MN). A big highlight was at the State Museum in Cairo. Thousands of amazing artifacts from King Tut's tomb, including the famous golden burial mask, one of the most wonderful symbols of all of Egypt. To stand just a couple feet away, face to face, was SPECTACULAR.

1) Shopping: City Stars mall... the biggest in the region. Google it.

2) Food: Abu Shakra makes the best Egyptian meat BBQ (kebab and kofta). Also try Koshari with garlic sauce and tomato sauce.

3) Walk across a Nile Bridge.

4) Do the Pyramids and Sphinx of course.

5) Visit Azhar Park.
