  • Thank you for this video :)

  • where did you get the metal pipes for the chimes? please get back to me. :)

  • @TheMissV33 Sorry for taking so long on getting back to you, this new layout has me rather confused!

The pipes are taken from some [rather ugly] bug windchimes I found at a dollar store, so are the plastic gizmos. I've had trouble finding more pipes like them since I posted this as the dollar store never restocked them. I've found pipes at craft stores [michaels I think] but they were much smaller & didn't clink as well.

  • @TheMissV33 I hunt garage sales, flea markets and thrift stores for old or broken chimes so I can recycle the parts.

If you have the tools to do it you can make them by cutting a length of clean pipe and drilling a hole in them. Just be sure to file the drilled-holes so the sharp edges don't slice through your cord. I collaberated with another artist once some years back- he made the pipes & knockers, I put it all together & it worked well. Plus you can pick the side of pipe to hang.

  • @TheMissV33 I don't know how to pitch the pipes either- the ones in the vid just clinks, they don't ring like some do.

Then again, I make mine for the look of them, rather then the sound they make.

    I hope that helped :)
