Im not pro at WC but im pretty sure that punch at 0:05 isn't wing chun.. he's sideways to the opponent (centerline wtf) and he locks his hand at the last punch (not very wise either)..
That may be the case >.> but it takes a lot of time and probably a lot of there own money to be able to get trained to that level :/ not to mention hard work and that
Say the lies .. Westra has never been a 5PG in LT System .. he was only a practitioner of muay thai and then studied with Master Sergio .. 4 years. His wing chun sucks .. and the Vietnamese, which has as its first student, is a dickhead!
i know your sifu he started wing chun under sifu sergio he is an ok and friendly guy but his wing chun is of a low level but then again he started practicing wing chun only 8 years ago
think he got it to high in his head when he founded his own wing chun system
EGO problem?
anyway he now started to train under wan kam leung think he realised he can better still be a student instead.
This is my sifu. I know that he has won many tournaments in MUAY THAI KARATE AND TAEKWONDO for all the people who be dissin you probably never fought a real fight.
He is a cool sifu to have and I am proud at it that I Train under him and sihing Pele Bas and Elvin.
How do you know he is good? Did you see him in realfighting somewhere? Did you see him fighting in the tournaments? If so, then you are right. No offence(:(;.
by looking at his dress one can tell he is not member of leungting-WT anymore. Some of the movements do not even look as they should do. Remember the saying: if it is looking strong - it is weak. BUT: since this is a demonstration, you have to assume, that he is showing off and avoid real hits. Besides, the big red stripes on the trousers refer to third or fourth grade of technician level...
He does'nt need to generate power he's only demonstrating, unless he wants to really hurt his student use your common sense you Wing Chun guys. The only time he will generate power is if he is in a real fight.
Well i guess he is'nt he completed the WT system under Leung Ting as well as training WSL VT and other Wing Chun lineages. He's developed his own system of teaching which is mainly WT but incorporates elements of VT/Wing Chun as well as BJJ and Groundfighting.
this guy totally missed WC concept which supposed to be "soft" and "relaxed" that's how you generate power. This guy just looks fast and fancy but no power, trust me..he's got NO chance on a good tranditional partitioner.
hi fellow WC, VT, whatever... practisioners... excuse my spelling.. lol
theres some cool movie-style moves in there.. i like the "getting lap-sau'ed" going into the body slam... and then the "jin" punch (arrow punch)? anyone else know what i'm talking about?
also, i'd like to ask if everyone's sifu's like to take down students like that.. or whether its just for the sake of the video.. cuz.. ow..
bullshit Wing Chun,
Looks like Leung ting shit.

He started wing tsun under sifu sergio iadarola, then formed his own association
now he is under wan kam leung
he was always very very stiff did chi sao with him about 5 years ago,he was a student level then so he probably improved

In 2001 he was 5PG in the LT system, so let's forget about your second paragraph.

And this is only a demonstration.
For the real deal it would be better to check out a seminar.
Nuff said.

luisin1984 5 years ago
Yeah I think he reached 5PG WT. (But he's also trained many other lineages)
He is also a former world Taekwondo AND BJJ champion.

...ment... there are new IWTO/EWTO-dresses out for some time. But you were right about that grading! Shouldnt a practician wear a red shirt?
