The big overhaul of banning these cartoons was when political correctness was in full swing, about 1989, by 1994 only a few very edited versions of some cartoons from the 30's and 40's were on at all and were completly never seen again by 1998 unless it was tom and jerry bugs and disney
It's controversial because it talks about oppresion, things that people try to ignore. They might've banned it...if they would think it was talking about discriminating against a race and not letting them live better, they might've taken it as a challenge.
@Crazyblastinaglass If you honestly need to be told how the representation of black people in this cartoon can be seen as offensive then you're beyond help.
this isn't about toys, this is about everyday life and how it used to be back then. and there's lots of things that are just flat up racist....and you call this classic? by the way, the representation of african americans is racist...it says they are control by the business man...but it is a good cartoon to watch. first time i've seen this actually, i'm 18, and yeah this is too far back...
@imNotanExampleRdotDo i agree im 13 and first thing i thought was WTF is the racist crap and that little blonde doll was becoming an airion ans she was kinda a slut
