i wouldn´t say 100% female. males and femals almost look alike in p. metallica. you can´t tell by just looking at it. almost impossible.

That's WAY too much. Slings should be around $80 - 150 CDN depending on what instar they are and adult females around $300 - 400 CDN max.  Shop around if you can.

I would say it's just very nervous and likes to hide if possible, rather then show any aggressive behavior

Not much actually, about 70 euros if i remember right. Got it from a diler from Germany. I got two and the other one went to a friend. I think that this is in fact a female, but stil going to wait for a while to be sure. I will make a new vid soon..

I found a spider here in Southern California, it resembles a smaller tarantula, it has hair and it's black and white striped with an orange abdomen. Any clue as to what it might be? I never seen one before, I can make a video of it, but I'm not sure on how it'll look.

The easiest way to sex a pokie is buy a ventral shot. Look at its abdomen in particular.

Females: Look for wider space between the 1st pair of booklungs and check for a triangle shape (surrounded by white) where the body and abdomen meet. You can also check for spermathacae between the 1st and 2nd pair of booklungs.

Males: Have a narriow space between the 1st pair of booklungs and check for a upside down U where the body and abdomen meet. Males have no spermathacae

Size of the abdomen is irrelevant.

its the size of the cephalothorax that matters, that actually kinda looks male, females are more blue than that, as well.

cant tell for sure without a ventral shot, even then its not 100% definite. need a need the exuvium to be sure.
