The modern civilized world has already abandoned (long ago) the philosophy of extreme "physical" punishment as an appropriate measure of discipline, as well as it being a proper correctiveness measure from criminals repeating a crime, or rehabilitated. The modern civilized world has already abandoned (long ago) the philosophy of extreme "physical" punishment as an appropriate measure of discipline, as well as it being a proper correctiveness measure from criminals repeating a crime, or rehabilitated. Citizens of a country that don't rise up against such tyranny deserve their fate. Which is why I don't have much sympathy for some of these countries that expect the western world to protect them. Acts like this have caused people in other countries to rise against inhuman dictators. Maybe these people will never develop intellects or moral fortitude to advance any further than blind dumb slaves. So better they just go the way of the Babylonians and disappear off the face of the earth.

@Dinimess2k7 Like any country with oppressive governments there will be protestors, even freedom fighters, but that doesn't make the majority needed to replace or overthrow the leadership. With regards to history I would add ancient history when the whole Middle East led the world with its great libraries, science and art, however that should only add to the shame of those that don't rise up & move forward now. This isn't the first oppressive government but it aims to be the last.

They are not executed because their crimes do not warrant execution. They are not tortured because the legal system is not based on demonic doctrines.
