@TheAbdullah23 no they arnt imo, this album is too amazing, what i meant is that its not indisputable but its still disputably the best hip hop album of all time, definately in my top 20 personally
The late 70's early 80's rap was born. They stepped it up through out the 80's, but 90's had the best rappers. Some are gone and some are still making great music these days. Let's not focus on what they call "hip hop" today. You can hate on Lil' Wayne but you're giving him even MORE attention. Step up to the plate then. Make your own music and disreguard bad taste in music.
Nas is hip hop that real fans love. im glad i grew up during this era, not this new age were we have faggots like souja boy or watever his bitch ass name is. my era had Nas, Pac, Big,Jay,Big L, Busta, Snoop, many more no one can ever fuck with the 90's era.
hi nas my name is david check out my video of pac kissing waynes cheecks and help yourself to jacking to it. Call me 781-937-0200. Call me sweetie buns

@prettytoes88 It doesnt matter if there from east, west, north, south or anywhere. if there real then there real and shouldnt be segregated like that.
it's not an emotional shit nas is just like telling someone somethings and beat is calm and deep. but it just touches my heart in a calm way. kinda weird.
real talk,i tried to educate my younger cousin about hip hop one day but in the end they got pissed off at me.They tried to say people like soulja boy and wayne is the true hip hop,I thought it was funny, than i asked them do they know who Big L or tech 9 is and they just looked at me like i was crazy.the whole moral to this is that kids these days don't understand the true meaning to hip hop and it's sad and it's crazy when they get mad when some one tries to educate them about hip hop.
@heartboy86 word! all the kids at my school think that lil wayne and drake are the best rappers. i think i'm the only one that thinks that they are all wannabee's. nas, doom, wu tang, ect now that's the real shit.
@heartboy86 But you can't blame them cuz as newer generations come theyre all going to have their own different kind of music just like your parents thought real musicians are people like marvin gaye n all the other old school people...just watch when these kids grow up their gunna try to educate the new generation about soulja boy is real hip hop but they wont listen cuz they will have their own shit
@heartboy86 it is very sad that they dont know wat real hip hop is, and it pissing me off to see these kids try and tell us that soulja boy and lil wayne are real hip hop, its just sad, the money and greed has took over the mainstream music, thats why hip hop fans and artist are now underground. hip hop aint dead its just deeply underground nowadays
Thumb me up if you hate when rappers just make a one of a million album then just fail in the 21rst centery. Especially Az and Nas. I mean i for one can Say nas And Az was the deepest muthafuckaz out the. lyrically. There albums shit on anyone to this day. But look at them now. they suck ass..-wtf nigga.
@LupeF0rLife14 Wth? they suck ass? sure there not as good as they were in there years of 94' and 95' but there probably the 2 realest, best rappers out right now
yall sound like idiots i understand yall like yalls on people and shit but it dont mean anybody else sucks cept for oj da juiceman and shawty lo. eminem is sweet nigga listen to infinite but like i was sayin yall rep rappers like gangs yall sound like retards
ITS ALL ABOUT THE WESTCOAST 805 KILLA KALI BUT THIS SHIT GOES HARD EY... ONLY EASTCOAST RAPPERS I LIKE IS BIGGIE, NAS, METHOD MAN & REDMAN, BIG L. WUTANG, AND A COUPLE OF OTHERS BUT IM TOO HIGH TO REMEMBER! WESTCOAST ALL DAY!!!!
Words of wisdom from Nas try to rise up above keep an eye out for jake shorty wop one love....Nas dropped a 24karat Jewel. Or did ya'll want a lolliop?
Stop saying every comment that Lil Wayne sucks everyone knows it, if you are looking for Nas on youtube you realize modern hip hop sucks no need to say it on every fuckin '90 video
@Banksta187 Actually wayne is revolutionary. His style is soo unique and ultimately complete he's no question one of a kind. I'm a Nas fan. I love nas to death but people need to quit tryna stunt and join the rest of the crew and show the love for wayne that you truly have. You like him. I know you do. Everyone loves wayne. Those who dont are...Well..They're gay. No offense but how can you argue with wayne's style? Thats silly..Face it nigga..He's it.
A revolutionary? He's no revolutionary, he's a marketing scheme. He has no style, he barely gets his lines out. Have you ever heard his freestyle at WestWood? Embarrassing. No kind of progression there at all.
@LupeF0rLife14 wayne used to be gud, now he is all new skool and mainstream, i mean he comin back out from the cracks, but he still is not gud, 6'7' is pretty gud, but other than that, he is not gud, mainly cuz of the music behind his lyrics, plus that voice, it is just so irritating and annoying a lot of the time 2, b4 he was really gud, if he goes back to that, well then ya u can defend him.
@296jayce heres my two cents..... in today's rap the lyrics are all over the place, just about random shit ,and lame metaphors. Wayne throws me off because he talks about dumb shit that i dont take serious......and the really sad part is that everyones tries to emulate wayne for some reason... tatts, flows, etc
Nas Mos Def Mobb Deep Geto Boys A Tribe Called Quest Guru Notorious B.I.G Bone Thugs-N-Harmony Wu-Tang Curren$y De La Soul Scarface Beatnuts Method Man And Redman Dr. Dre Snoop Dogg Raekwon Cypress Hill Gangstarr Old Eminem Talib Kweli And the greatest of all time the legendary Q-tip
@bubbadude117 I only wrote some of the bestest. Could have continued; Guru, Jedi Mind Tricks, Damian Marley (his & Nas together is also greate), Black moon etc.
But it would take to long time. So i just took some.
Hits don't make the artist. It's nothing but a marketing scheme, no talent. Artists like Nas concentrates on substance and creativity before the money even comes to mind. Of course they make music for the money, but back then, there were more mcs than there are just plain ass rappers. The competition was base on who got the best rhymes and most bars. Today, competition is based on who can sell more cds.
@greenjack101 That's b/c he makes classic music, the difference btween a 40oz. of Old English nd a fine aged bottle of cognac, 1, anybody could guzzle any day of the week, the other you have to be a connoisseur, it has to be savoured nd on special occasions
classic, classic, classic ...

ratman30 1 year ago
@Banksta187 Actually wayne is revolutionary. His style is soo unique and ultimately complete he's no question one of a kind. I'm a Nas fan. I love nas to death but people need to quit tryna stunt and join the rest of the crew and show the love for wayne that you truly have. You like him. I know you do. Everyone loves wayne. Those who dont are...Well..They're gay. No offense but how can you argue with wayne's style? Thats silly..Face it nigga..He's it.
LupeF0rLife14 1 year ago
@LupeF0rLife14

296jayce 1 year ago
@296jayce heres my two cents..... in today's rap the lyrics are all over the place, just about random shit ,and lame metaphors. Wayne throws me off because he talks about dumb shit that i dont take serious......and the really sad part is that everyones tries to emulate wayne for some reason... tatts, flows, etc

@bubbadude117 I only wrote some of the bestest. Could have continued; Guru, Jedi Mind Tricks, Damian Marley (his & Nas together is also greate), Black moon etc.
But it would take to long time. So i just took some.

@nico2400 i know man its all good, props for mentioning jay dee and black moon thats the good shit
bubbadude117 1 year ago
Hits don't make the artist. It's nothing but a marketing scheme, no talent. Artists like Nas concentrates on substance and creativity before the money even comes to mind. Of course they make music for the money, but back then, there were more mcs than there are just plain ass rappers. The competition was base on who got the best rhymes and most bars. Today, competition is based on who can sell more cds.
Schismzz 1 year ago
let me tell you the main difference between nas and today's rappers
Today's rappers usually make one big hit and it's popular for a couple of weeks and then everybody forgets about them
Nas's songs will be popular forever. We REAL hip hop fans have been listening to this great album for 16 years.
Hip hop will never forget about nas
greenjack101 1 year ago 3
@greenjack101 most of the rappers out today hav made numerous hits

@jayceonn they'll never be as great as nas's hits
greenjack101 1 year ago
@greenjack101 ok u were still wrong and who were you referring to?
jayceonn 1 year ago
@greenjack101 That's b/c he makes classic music, the difference btween a 40oz. of Old English nd a fine aged bottle of cognac, 1, anybody could guzzle any day of the week, the other you have to be a connoisseur, it has to be savoured nd on special occasions
shonha1 1 year ago
is q-tip in this song really?

@gignacrape in chorus and on production. Q-Tip was one of Nas' mentors (along Large Professor, Pete Rock, DJ Premier and MC Serch).
