Calzaghe is older but his body did not go through what Roy put is body through and as you can see if you can see at all Calzaghe doesnt look to much different from when he was fight maybe 3 years ago , But if you cant tell the difference in Roy jones body and what he was doing 3 years ago then your blind as a bat because im sure 3 or 4 years ago Roy would put the beats on this dude
for all those saying jones would definitely have won in his prime, the reality was that other than the first 2 rounds, it was comfortable for Calzaghe, he didn't have to push harder than 4th gear. He could step it up again just like Jones could have a few years earlier. More respect should be shown the Calzaghe, 46-0.
Its amazing how Roy Jones was still the fastest light heavyweight in his old age and after dropping from heavyweight back down which drained him. Just goes to show you how fast he really once was.
richie woodhall's commentary in this was a joke. thank god he isnt a judge! as if he only scored this 115-112. such a one sided fight after round one!
@ss3ph2 It's just cus you have to put yourself in that position. When a guy has dominated the sport in the fashion Jones did for so long your eyes can decieve you when he's getting beat into thinking that he's actually winning. I know it sounds crazy but its just the way our brains work. When you've seen somebody up close as dominant as Roy Jones was in his prime and then your sitting there watching him in his old age lose your mind doesn't let you believe that the person is actually losing.
calzaghe and jones both great fighters its shame by the time this fight had happen jones had lost 3 times been kod twice not beaten a notable lightheavy weight for 4 years i reckon jones in his prime could beat calzaghe
@aaarrr1 true jones was past his prime. the jones we all know. the old in his prime jones would have won. not sayn calzaghe wasnt good cause he was. calzaghe had a tough jaw..good fight tho.
@boxingnews247 No worries, it was actually HD originally but I decided to size it down a bit so that I didn't have to split into into more than one part.

I don't think anyone who knows boxing properly could seriously say that Calzaghe would beat Jones prime to prime and I am British.
