The "guitar sound" is very similar to the sound that Metallica had to "kill'em All ". I am 37 years old ... perhaps this album can sound "original" to a guy much younger than me. Obviously it's not original at all in the same way that drum 'n' bass music isn't original at all because most of it uses the same breakbeat over and over again. However, it's all in the nuances and this album has a lot more in common with certain other Thrash Metal albums than it does with Kill 'em All. Perhaps you're just trying to say that all Thrash Metal is derivative and unnecessary, but I disagree.
