hey guys I don't know what you're talking about I just enjoy the music I don't care about any effects here except the music affect.well I kinda like the reverb .I guess some instruments Like Ney cannot survive without it.
Is this a studio recording? I wonder if they used too much audio compression, EQ, reverb in Iran. It might have been a good mic used with bad effects. Most modern solo albums from Iran have the same loud sound. I prefer the intimacy of Ali's old clips. In western classical music, using such effects (reverb) is considered a blasphemy, especially if it is a early piece. I hope our dear Ali doesn't fall in the trap that is studio recording.
it is a home recording with a simple common microphone that is recorded in my room and without any special studio conditions. But the only job that I did after recording is Adding Reverb sound effect with "Nero WaveEditor" . "Small room" reverb effect that put a little reverb on Audio file :) and nothing else.
you know that "Iranian Music" and our instrument completely have a different sonority caracter from Western Classical Music instruments .
I am not against effects per se depending on the genre and what one is trying achieve. It is difficult to judge details of an audio recording over youtube. But if you graph the sound volume (cotour), you will notice, the volume has less variation across the performance. the low points don't appear low. It reminds me of Shaari's first solo album, Shabahang, which was immaculate playing with poor audio quality.
But of course, people are free to make their own aesthetic choices. Look up "live recording" and talk to D. Tala'i about it. I can give you his number. Happy experimenting! and as usual, thank you for posting.
But you should pay attention that when you wnat to record in your home there is defferent defferent conditions . hmmm you know that a simple microphone that is made for chatting is not suitable for music recording because you will lose many may of harmonics and your instrument sound frequencies. If you record your music with professional tools you will achieve the favourable sound and no need to put effect on it.
i think ;Whatever that is a blasphemy is western calassicall music , in Persian Classical Music is a necessity. Why do we Shouldn't make our Instrument sound more attractive and effective? and when the SONANCE is the basic Sound quality oF our Instruments.
Plus U know that Sound and it's quality was and is very important for Setar and for example Persian Violin :) hear "Ebady"s recordings and Violin Players recordings.

thanks a lot! I'm totally understand your point on this subject . you know ! I was and is and educated in "Talai"s method :)
My pereviuos Maestro "Hasan Adib" is one of Maestro Talai's Students and he is very serious in this thoughts :). I know and I see.
Maestro Adib has published 2 Albums with pure pure sound recording :) and we talked very much about importance of purity of Sound in recording.
