  • Sounded so much better without the radio chatter. awesome lighting.

  • Good job on taping this....

I tape my storms far enough safe and so where i see it! just like this catch. Good catch man.

  • You should have videotape more because it looked like a scary and dangerous storm - maybe your camcorder could only videotape a little. I purchased a new camcorder - Sony HD camcorder 1920x1080 with a built in 32gb flash that can hold 7 hours of HD videos!!! It takes GREAT videos EVEN in LOW light conditions!!! It cost $800

  • @jhn170 That was about all the video I could get. I wish I could afford a new HD camcorder like yours. That would be great.

  • i would epect a tornado from something like that. was there one?

  • @boardman49 thanks

  • I live in Winston-Salem. I lived through a 2 tornados

  • That's more than most people can say. Glad you made it.

  • Wow thats a potent bugger!

  • i live in north carolina 2 bro i live in johnston county

  • I like the sound of lighting on the radio

  • Yeah, I do too. And there was plenty of it.

  • i bet u got a tornado. did you?

  • No tornado, just a lot of lightning.

  • i was there

  • 00:210 was a bad lightning strike

  • i was there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • What program did you use to show the data for the stom like the alt top, with, ect

  • A lot of lightning and thunder. I'm gonna videotape a severe thunderstorm before this summer ends.

  • Hey John170,

Don't forget to send me a video of your thunderstorm, okay?

  • Love your video. Sometimes watching a severe thunderstorm is more fun than watching TV!

  • It really is, especially at night and when the lightning is non-stop.

  • i love thunderstorms

  • One of nature's wonders. It's unbelievable just how much power can be contained in the clouds. Thanks!

  • That was an awsome video of this storm. I live right near Crest High School and boy was this one fierce. I will be looking for some more of these storm chaser!

  • Yeah, you live in the area where that storm was. I bet we have some more good electrical storms like that this summer.

  • yes it does...its storms like this that scare me when lightning looks as bad as this does cuz u never know what the storm is going to bring...TAKE COVER!!!

  • i live in shelby north carolina and go to crest, i was scared that night. =D

  • he couldnt do anything to stop the lightning from flashing...but wouldnt it be something if he could?!...this is a good vid..shows how violent lightning can get and the radio has a good affect on it

  • this was one of the best lightning videos i have seen :D hearing the weather radio in the backgroud has a nice affect on the lightning....makes it look more violent than it is...and continuess...that storm is ticked lol :)

  • Thanks. That was one mean storm.

  • yvw and yes it was :)

  • OHH, NICE VIDEOS, I LOVE THE ADVISORYS

  • OHH, NICE VIDEOS, I LOVE THE ADVISORYS

  • North Carolinian here, Raleigh to be more exact. That was some nice footage there and despite what some say, I loved the radio in the backround don't know why though. For those wondering NC does get some pretty nice storms, about one a week in the summer. But the storms of the coast are beast compared to this one. Lightning, Hail, Water spouts are what a normal thunderstorm are all about on the coast there.

  • The NWS voice gets it all wrong...it's pronounced "Mo'sburra", not "Mooresboro" :)

  • by lighting

  • i know toes storms can be bad my nabors house got sturck by litghing b

  • WOAH! 1:04!!! HOLY CRAP!

  • Its been very little of this all year in Cleveland county, huge drought

  • Yeah, it's really bad here. The streams that feed Moss Lake are getting lower and if this keeps up I'm gonna start worrying about the lake itself.

  • Some of the scariest storms I've ever seen have been when I was in N.C. When those storms roll down the mountains towards the ocean, they begin to really churn, especially as they pick up that moist sea air. Scary as hell.

  • This awesome SUN 6/24/07-Tstorm is awesome((while up here in southern RI..gorgeous skies, very same day and dewpoints in mid 40s!!!)) I did hear nice rumbles amidst your NOAA-weatherradio... and saw nice CGs among the frequent flashes...reminisce of my own videotaped huge 7/18/06-11pm Tstorm too! Nice graphics at end of scene!

  • wow how frequent the lightning lit up the sky like daytime

  • wow that is violent storm what season but great

  • That was a violent thunderstorm you had in NC! I also videotaped a severe thunderstorm. I uploaded it to google video ( severe thunderstorm ) it's 28 mins. I had problems upload it to yourtube! Check it out. I gonna put my users name from yourtube so you know it was me who videotaped it!

  • Hey Check out the video, i responded with, A sever storm rolled over my house on friday night around 11 oclock. It was pretty bad, there was some reports of Hail a few miles west of my house.

  • funny, my family lived in Cleveland county from 1996-1998. some strong storms blew through every summer down there. i remember one producing a tornado that touched down in Polkville. i lived just on the western side of Shelby City on Washburn Switch Rd. :)

  • Wow... small world... I used to be on West Stagecoach Trail near Newhouse.

  • Would loved to have heard the thunder rather than that weather radio and static.

  • I believe I remember this storm. I think this storm moved into my area at about 4:30 to 5:00 the next morning. I live in Denton, which is in Davidson County.

I remember that it had very frequent lightning strikes. The NBC affiliate from Winston-Salem said that it was producing 125 lightning strikes in only 5 MINUTES!!!! In other words, 25 for every minute! And it gave us about 1.3 inches of rain.

  • i dont remember this storm at all?

  • This is awesome

  • Blame the haet and Humidity for all this, we had a lot of this Severe Weather a little more in Mecklenburg County. Don't worry, I'm Fine!

  • Mecklenburg County has been hit every day this week. These storms have been all over the piedmont.

  • What does A7 mean??

  • Each storm on the radar is given a name. This one's name was A7.

  • Gotcha.

  • Tis the season!

  • Holy Shit!
