  • superb, well done

  • speedways is a great sport, this is a nice tribute to the sport and the man

  • When Jack got to heaven his buddys met him and took him down to the track, and there was Jack's bike, nice and new as he felt, and he was racing that night. Jack looked around and saw plenty of young faces he'd known in the past and the stands were full of fans. Jack looked over and noticed Jason Crumps bike and asked what was going on , Jason wasn't dead. "That's god's bike, he thinks he's Jason Crump". Loved the video.

  • A lovely tribute. I lost my dad, who was a starting marshall at many tracks, including Long Eaton. He would have known Jack, as I recognised a few faces, including Mick Handley, and my own Godfather, Terry Stone.

  • Great stuff and a wonderful tribute to your dad.

  • I remember Jack from the great days with Nelson Admirals at Seedhill. Lovely man, so glad to have been able to see him ride.

  • Thanks for posting these pics of your Dad - you must be (rightly) so proud of him.

He clearly earnt his living in Speedway when it was at it's most dangerous and obviously had a great deal of courage in the name of entertainment.

This was when speedway was at it's greatest - instead of today's commercialised World of many 'wonnabe prima donas' !

  • Never had the honour to see him ride, but by the photos I reckon he had a nice style. At least he belonged to the great years of speedway. You must be proud.

  • As a teenager in the late 60's didn't I remember your Dad as a rider at Nelson? Apologies if wrong, but think I did. Anyway saw him a few times on the Northern circuits - great guy - RIP Jack.
