  • I never missed an episode. My favorite show growing up. Kids in my class used to always wonder why I aced the Science test in school. 321 contact was the answer, but I didn't tell them that.

  • Contact may have been the reason why everything happens in the 80's and 90's but now with mind control, you don't have to make contact. You can think it and it happens.

  • This is definitely the best version of this theme. The other versions made changes that weakened the song. Especially removing that intro guitar riff...I mean...that riff MAKES the song!

  • We really need another show like this to get kids excited about science and engineering again. Surely there are technology companies out there who wouldn't mind talking to a kid interviewer for a few minutes.

    (Or is it really that hard now to find a kind who wouldn't be "too cool" to want to check out NASA?)

  • The 80's were SO much better than today. Not as weird as the 70's, not as generic as the 90's and no OVER LOAD of information like nowadays. Yes, I do realize the irony as I'm typing this on the internet...

  • I remember this theme song more than the first one, but I kind of like the slower one better. The vocals have that touch. The main thing that always gets me is that "photon" synth effect when Childrens Television Workshop comes racing across the screen. Catchy!!!

  • Da reason 3-2-1 Contact's theme song sound'd 70s b/c its was MADE in 1979 when that and production [in general] wur goin' on b4 its Jan. 14, 1980 debut; makin' it 1 of da first TV show 2 air in da 1980s.

  • I remember watching this on PBS. I thought it was very educational for time. Like boilerplate alluded to below, most of the "educational" programs on TV these days are rather disapointing for teaching about science / math.

  • Shame they don't have this kind of stuff on PBS nowadays. It's all sappy shows with guys in dinosaur/animal suits.
