wow. i never thought a Mumford and Songs song could sound so boring. Especially this one, which is probably my favorite from the album. This lacks all the passion and intensity and frustration from the original. Sure, the instrumentation is flawless but this just adds to the mediocrity of the performance. She has a whole bunch of professional musicians behind her but can't convey any emotions. Oh well, hopefully more people will check out M&S now. They deserve every bit of attention!!!!!!!!!!!!!

this is a pretty good cover..but...its not angry enough during the white blank page/rage part. Thats the key to this whole song. the song should grow to a peak and then get quiet and subdued with the loving you part. (which she gets right). Other than that beautiful rendition. @babrownn her voice doesnt match mumfords, it's true, but its a cover because it's different. She put her own twist on it, and it's not better than the original, but it's still pretty good. She definitely didn't ruin the song, but I guess that's just my opinion.

@jkelly338 You're making a general assumption, and an incorrect one at that. I'm a rather big Mumford and Sons fan, and it's not that I don't like Taylor Swift. Quite frankly I haven't heard any of her songs since that one where she was crying about her boyfriend being with some other chick. The fact of the matter is that her voice is completely wrong for this song, and this cover would have been better left undone

I love both Mumford and sons and tswift, and I can honestly say this song is wonderful either way. The only reason the the Mumford fans are cranky is because they don't like Taylor Swift and they can't see past that. This is a beautiful cover.

this is a pretty good cover..but...its not angry enough during the white blank page/rage part. Thats the key to this whole song. the song should grow to a peak and then get quiet and subdued with the loving you part. (which she gets right). Other than that beautiful rendition. Would love for her to a Winter Winds cover...just saying...

She looks absolutely miserable in this one and it's scary how she keeps on looking straight at the camera and even more so given the context of the lyrics then looks away like she can't maintain eye contact.

Personaly when I hear hear her ding this song I can hear the emotional connection she has with the song, if u really listen u hear her emotion. This was a perfect song for her to cover. This may be a unpopular opinion but when I sing this song I can totally relate and personally I know she completely does too around 237 is where it gets deep

Not too bad, but I think that this version is a little too soft. It lacks the pure, raw power and energy that Mumford puts into this song. I think she picked possibly the worst Mumford song to cover, because no one can do this song like M&S does. It's just not possible.

i love taylor, and i love mumford and sons. i think she did good. but i know she could have done better. she toned it down a lot. i feel she could have used this song to show her vocal abilities and was sort of disappointed she didn't belt out a note and "taylor-ize" it.
