If the lack of sync is intolerable than open it in two windows and cut the volume on one of them. Start the muted one then start the one with the sound on. Start and stop the muted video till you get the two the sync up. It's a bit of a hassle but at least that way it's watchable.

I was 10 years old when I first saw this movie at the State Theatre in Sydney back in 1973. I had waited 35 years to see it again, when I purchased the DVD online at Amazon. Though it wasn't the best quality, audio and videowise, and later on it became available here in Australia under the original name "King Boxer". I purchased that DVD too and had the pleasure of watching both the Chinese and English with Subtitles versions. Though the dialogue differed in the two languages.

I have noticed it does often with favorites of mine. I never realized as a kid how "loosey goosey" we were in the translations and watching a different version of the 5 Deadly Venoms really brought it to my notice too :)
