  • That G15 motor is amazing. Eflite says a 25 motor, but this plane still flies great with a 15-size outrunner. I will have to get a G15. Anyone interested in a used Power 32?

  • @3FLYTE Yes, I really like the G15 on the Advance, the only bad thing about it was I had to add about a half an inch spacer to the firewall to get the shaft out in front of the nose. It performs great with a 4s and a 11x10 APCe prop.

  • @aerobattyler I really like my setup. The only thing I would not do again would be the servos. They are quite a bit smaller than the servo cutouts provided by eflite on the Advance. I had go make adapters out of plywood to make them fit. I get great flight times. I have been using 2 1800mah 3s packs in parallel, I think I could easily fly for 15 minutes with that setup.

  • How do you like the electronics you are using in this plane? I am considering setting one up just like you have done with yours. Any complaints? How much flight time are you getting?

  • @tenrazo215 I don't know if my esc gets warm because it's back inside the wing area where I can't reach it without removing the wing. I have a 60amp speed control, so I'm not too worried about it.

  • I picked up the Advance 25e a couple weeks back and have slowly been putting it together it looks like a good flyer from your video.

some of the things I have done are flaperon for slower flight and more lift for take off & landing..... but for the way it looks I wont need them also i run a E-flite 4S 3200mAh with the E-flite 25BL and 40-Amp Pro Switch-Mode BEC Brushless ESC I had some problems with the standard ESC and decided to upgrade. my radio is a Futaba 7C with R617FS :) Happy flying

  • @GothicMud That sounds like a great setup. I haven't flown mine with 4S, but I have two 3200mah 4s on order. I want to try a 11x10 APCe or a 11x8 3-bladed prop to try to get more prop clearance for using grass runways. I am currently using a 12x8 on 3S.

  • @tenrazo215 yeah, the wing tipped because I didn't line up straight to the road on my landing decent. I came in diagonally, and had to make a sharp turn to land on the road. I gave it too much aileron. I don't think wind was a factor. That receiver should be great for this plane. I've read that the power 32 motors make balancing the CG difficult. Some have added weight to the tail to get the CG right. Have fun building, the manual steps you through the process, so it's not too hard.

  • We have to fly again soon.

  • @tenrazo215 - I ran the batteries in parallel because I didn't have any bigger than 2200mah packs. It works really good. I have a piece of the soft side of Velcro on all my packs, so I just added a piece of the the hook side of velcro to one of the packs and sandwiched them together. I had to put the two partially back on the wing area go get the CG right.

Yes, I used a park flyer receiver since I don't plan on going out of sight with it like a glider. I'm using a Spektrum AR6100e.

  • Looks like it flies great!!
