I`ve been a long time fan of MSFS, flying it since the first one came out. MS has completely abandoned the sim fans, and is now trying to appeal to the broader public who doesn`t have an interest in flying at all... The guy who came up with that brilliant idea will have a short carreer. It seems like "everyone" is moving to X-Plane 10 (congratulations X-Plane, you should thank MS:). I am moving to X-Plane 10 and won`t ever look back! RIP MSFS - hello X-Plane!

I too have been a Ms Flight simulator Fan since FS95, and now with Ms FLIGHT and Xplane 10, the Consumer is Left in a void of utter Confusion in context of consumer choise, Especiallly for MS Flight Sim Fans?. But the Public voice (Our Voice) is now tiping investment in X-plane for those who like real Sims?. MS seem content with Flight, That the Broader Community will support them, and not the Long time Fans?. isn,t the simple things best?. maybe simple is too much?

The saddest thing of all is that at least as far as FSX, they NEVER addressed the unrealistic crash boxes, of aircraft or ground objects. I've not got to Flight yet, but doubt it's much better there, if any. MS needs to take notes from games like IL2 1946 and Rise of Flight. Those guys know the building blocks of a FS.

For all the guys who say they will switch to X-plane 10, stay with FSX!! There is no need to randomly switch to X-plane. Fsx is the newest amazing simulator and it will be kept that way for a long time. Flight is an arcade game. In fact, COD players will probably be that majority to buy Flight. It's not a simulator, and if you are a pilot or a real aviation enthusiast, then FSX is your game. If you like normal shooters and arcade, Microsoft Flight is for you.
Mictosoft flight is like the console game HAWX - without the weapons and that game is not good to start with. FSX optimized with addons is still the best flight simulator game. But hope Xplane 11 will beat FSX with better flight controles , more focus on commercial and private planes and better Virtual cockpit coupled up with better graphics than Xplane 10.
X-plane. They knew microsoft took a giant shit; they had to bury it with 10. The downside is X-plane 10 still needs lots of work, but with Microsoft giving away their own competition, more people can devote time to making it the ultimate experience over time.
IL-2 sturmovik Cliffs of dover has better flight physics and complex engine management, and the graphics/sound are incredible and put x-plane to shame and at least the scenery isn't junk data. I havent tried microsoft flight yet thanks to lousy internet
Yea Microsoft messed the point of flying up badly, they took all of the world away and made it to where you can only fly in Hawaii, I've always played MS Flight Simulator and now since they ruined it i'm going to get x-plane 10.

FSX better than XP10 for graphics, XP10 is more realistic (so I hear). Microsoft Flight is just a sorry piece of shit. FSX will be the last flight simulator put out by MS, because Lockheed Martin bought the rights to Microsoft's "EPS" which is the basis for the MSFS engine.. they created Prepar3d. We can all use Prepar3d, so long as you have $500 ready.
As a beta tester of Microsoft Flight I have to say there is no comparison between it and X-Plane 10. Flight is compared to COD. Microsoft had us waiting for 4 years for a new simulator and they give us this piece of crap. I am going to switch to X-Plane 10.
You obviously haven't played the game and read the discussion posts enough to know that Flight is definitely more than a simple arcade game. I bet you got past that first balloon and gave up on it completely.
@ichirofan7 I actually played it for 2 days and wasn't happy with what I saw. I did some of the landing challenges and I was disappointed. I play FSX a lot and I am big on FSX. Flight was nothing like FSX. You have your opinion and you have mine, but I know people who feel the same way I do.
Of course Flight is nothing like FSX. FSX has lots of default planes and tons of addons, while flight has anywhere from 1-5 planes depending on your situation and no addons. Why were you disappointed by the landing challenges?

@ichirofan7 No the controls feel like a video game like H.A.W.X to me. FSX's controls aren't super realistic, but they are better than Flight. I look for a sim that is going to give me the most realistic experience. I want to be a pilot when I grow up so having a realistic flight sim is very important to me. Microsoft made Flight for people who mainly just want the easiest experience of flying planes. Flight is super easy and not very realistic.
Did you turn the flight assist option off? Also, Flight's flight physics feel more like X-Plane than FSX, so good luck switching over to X-Plane. Also, it takes a fairly large amount of money and dedication to get a sim anywhere close to flying a real plane. Also, how is FSX any harder to fly in than Flight? Microsoft made flight for all types of simmers, not just the ones who want it to be easy.
@ichirofan7 I was unaware of the flight assist and have you played X-Plane 10? I haven't yet, but I hated X-Plane 9 worse than Flight, but I have hope for X-Plane 10. I know about the price to get in a real simulator. Plus FSX is harder. when I fly in Flight I had a very easy landing each time with no effort. In FSX it really challenges me, plus Flight will have no jets and I want to be a jet pilot.
Could you please link to where the Flight development team said there would never be jets? I would love to read that. I've played the X-Plane 10 demo, and the flight physics seem to be similar to Flight (Without the flight assist on). But it's hard to tell because Flight has only props in Beta and the X-Plane demo has only a 747.
@ichirofan7 I have heard from the forums in the beta tester area that there will be no jets, you will have to buy extra parts of the world, and there will be no third-party addons so that means you only get like 5 aircraft or something like that and that is what you have to use your whole time that you have Flight.
No third party addons does not mean you only get 5 aircraft. Think about it. Why would microsoft even try to market a flight simulator with no jets and only 5 planes? The answer is, they wouldn't. There will be more planes and more content, although I do hate the fact that you will have to buy things piece by piece.
No point comparing FSX with xplane.. xplane came now.. fsx years ago.. MS flight -- nobody knows what it will ACTUALLY be.. so lets just wait and watch..

From what i've heard, X-Plane and Flight are targeting different audiences. I would prefer realism, so i'm going with X-Plane 10 myself. But if Flight is free, like i've heard, i'll check that one out anyways for its graphics and really nice scenery.
@oohgoditsbees Flight will be free, but you'll only have have Hawaii island and some planes (3 if I remember...), if you want more, you'll need to pay DLCs...
@ozzibrock ya i agree its shame they had to end the great flight simulator series but im sure x plane will become the best. But for now FSX is good for me because of all the addons like rex and payware aircraft.

if M. Flight came to MAC, i maybe was bayed that too, and compare. Microsoft should make some FS for MAC too. FSX, Flight and X-Plane are all three nice sims, but only XP are for MAC and Win. Laminar earns money on that, Microsoft looses money ._.

Ok first of all your comparing video released from Flight which are little snippets used in their advertising campaign. That sim has not been released yet ! Reality vs. advertising. Now, are these video clips actual grabs from the sim or not ? Are they doctored or not ? The X-Plane video is not, infact it is 100% actual sim play with no enhancements whatsever. Finally, it is My video. The next time you want to compare two videos using one of mine, ask me or buy a copy and make one of your own.

@ozzibrock ya i agree its shame they had to end the great flight simulator series but im sure x plane will become the best. But for now FSX is good for me because of all the addons like rex and payware aircraft.

@Seadot777 that might be why it's not called Microsoft Flight SIMULATOR anymore. Maybe they should have called it "Microsoft Flying Game" instead since everyone seems to think it is false advertising. Not everyone can dish out $80 for a high quality flight simulator.

I have waited for MS flight to come out for over a year, I did hear thet it's crappy and all that stuff... in this moment I'm downloading the X-plane 10 demo... I will still buy the MS Flight though...

But as of release, it's only Hawaii. Granted it's nicely detailed but small.

Hey just stopped by to say hi. Looks like Flight is a wash ha ha. So please keep pushing X-Plane 10. Can't believe the amount of posts I've seen where true MS fans are dropping Flight like it's going out of style. I'm guessing maybe thats why you have so many dislikes. Oh and Thanks !

if M. Flight came to MAC, i maybe was bayed that too, and compare. Microsoft should make some FS for MAC too. FSX, Flight and X-Plane are all three nice sims, but only XP are for MAC and Win. Laminar earns money on that, Microsoft looses money ._.

Ok first of all your comparing video released from Flight which are little snippets used in their advertising campaign. That sim has not been released yet ! Reality vs. advertising. Now, are these video clips actual grabs from the sim or not ? Are they doctored or not ? The X-Plane video is not, infact it is 100% actual sim play with no enhancements whatsever. Finally, it is My video. The next time you want to compare two videos using one of mine, ask me or buy a copy and make one of your own.
