I was at this concert and this dude is a freaking Liar. None of Axls guitarists threw any guitars down and no one walked off stage. Eagles of Death Metal played 2 songs and people booooooed the entire time and they kept playing through boo's. It was awful and Axl was right to kick them off.

I don't know of any serious hate, but it goes something like this: Back when Dave Grohl was in Nirvana, he got to play the MTV VMAs in 1992. Before the show, Kurt Cobain asked jokingly if Axl Rose would be the godfather of Frances Bean Cobain. Apparently, Axl Rose totally freaked out and said some weird stuff. So while Kurt and Krist were destroying stuff at the end of their set, Dave Grohl ran up to the mic and shouted "hi Axl". That's the extent of what I know.
